Description

The present invention relates to a structure of a band cushion attached to a fuel tank support band for fixing a fuel tank to a vehicle body for vibration suppression and soundproofing.

Conventionally, as shown in Patent Documents 1 and 2 below, the fuel tank support band is provided with a cushion made of an elastic material such as rubber or synthetic resin, so that the fuel generated in the fuel tank during traveling is present. The swaying sound and vibration during traveling are transmitted to the vehicle body so that the quietness in the vehicle is not lost and the fuel tank is not damaged by the vibration.
JP 2003-267074 A JP 2006-116991 A

By the way, in order to obtain the desired vibration damping effect, the conventional band cushion is mounted so that a circular or bowl-shaped protrusion is integrally formed on the upper surface, and the tip of the protrusion is in contact with the surface of the fuel tank. A gap was formed between the surface of the fuel tank and such a shape. However, since such a shape cannot be formed unless it is by injection molding, the manufacturing cost increases and only a certain length can be formed. There was a problem. In addition, since the band cushion is likely to be laterally displaced when worn, there is a problem that it is necessary to take measures such as applying a double-sided tape in advance to prevent lateral displacement.

The present invention seeks to provide a band cushion having a new structure that solves the above-mentioned problems. For this purpose, the band cushion of the present invention is integrally formed in a band shape whose cross section is equal to the longitudinal direction by extruding an elastic material, and a pair of protrusions having a divergent cross section near both side edges of the upper surface. When the hook portion is formed on the lower surface and bent inward from the side edges and bent inward, and the elastic band is attached to the inner side of the hook portion to support the fuel tank, the protrusion portion is formed. Is elastically pressure-bonded to the surface of the fuel tank so that a gap is formed between the protrusions.
Further, the present invention is characterized in that, in the above band cushion, the protrusion is formed in a semicircular cross-sectional shape.

The band cushion of the present invention can be manufactured by extrusion molding with high productivity and low cost. In addition, the length can be freely set by cutting according to the size of the fuel tank. The tightening band can be easily attached without fear of lateral displacement. High vibration and sound insulation performance is maintained. There are beneficial effects.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a band cushion according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a side view of a fuel tank showing a use state thereof. The band cushion 1 is integrally formed in a band shape whose cross section is equal to the longitudinal direction by extruding an elastic material such as rubber and soft synthetic resin, and a pair of semicircular cross sections near the side edges of the upper surface. The protrusions 2 and 2 are formed in parallel, and a pair of hook parts 3 and 3 which are suspended from both side edges and bent inward are formed on the lower surface in parallel. The band cushion 1 is appropriately cut according to the size of the fuel tank 4. Then, as shown in FIG. 3, the tightening band 5 is attached to the lower surface of the band cushion 1 so that both side edges of the metal tightening band 5 fit inside the hook portions 3, 3. Is covered with the band cushion 1 and both ends of the tightening band 5 are fastened to the vehicle body 6 with bolts 7 or the like. As a result, the fuel tank 4 is supported by the tightening band 5 via the band cushion 1, and the protrusions 2, 2 of the band cushion 1 are elastically pressure-bonded to the surface of the fuel tank 4. A gap 8 is formed between them.

As described above, the band cushion 1 made of an elastic material is interposed between the fuel tank 4 and the tightening band 5, and the protrusions 2 and 2 are formed on the band cushion 1. As the contact area is reduced, the tightening band 5 can be greatly separated from the surface of the fuel tank 4 with a minimum amount of material, so that the vibration and vibration of the fuel emitted from the fuel tank 4 are absorbed by the band cushion 1. The sound and vibration that attenuates and propagates to the vehicle body 6 side through the tightening band 5 can be greatly reduced.

Further, since the band cushion 1 is manufactured by extrusion molding, the manufacturing cost is greatly reduced as compared with a conventional injection molded product, and the band cushion 1 is cut to an appropriate length so as to match the size of the fuel tank 4. And can always be used in an optimum state. Furthermore, the band cushion 1 is configured such that the tightening band 5 is attached to the inner side of the hook portions 3 and 3, so that there is no risk of lateral displacement at the time of attachment, and a double-sided tape is not used as in the prior art. The fuel tank 4 can be firmly supported at all times by being correctly and accurately mounted. For this reason, the structure of the band cushion 1 prevents the fuel tank from being assembled incorrectly.

In addition, the shape of the protrusions 2 and 2 may be a trapezoid as shown in FIG. 4 in addition to the semicircular shape as described above. In short, the fuel tank 4 is formed by forming the ridges 2 and 2 into a divergent shape such as a semicircular shape or a trapezoidal shape so that the ridges 2 and 2 become wider as they go to the base. It is preferable that the elastic material is always stably supported.
