Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inadvertent movement of a detection member and to enable movement of the detection member easily when needed. <P>SOLUTION: The detection member 60 can move between a waiting position and a detection position to a female side housing 30. At the waiting position, a temporary locking part 65 of the detection member 60 locks the female side housing 30 and movement to the detection position is restricted. When both housings 10, 30 are regularly engaged, a mating projection portion 17 interferes with the temporary locking part 65 and its locking state is released, and movement of the detection member 60 to the detection position is permitted. At the detection position, a final locking part 66 of the detection member 60 locks the female side housing 30 with a strong locking force, and return movement of the detection member 60 to the waiting position is restricted. When an operating part 67 is pressed down at the detection position, locking state of the final locking part 66 is released, and return movement of the detection member 60 to the waiting position becomes possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to a connector.

Conventionally, a connector having a fitting detection function is known. For example, the thing of patent document 1 is mounted | worn with the detection member with respect to the female side housing so that a movement between a standby position and a detection position is possible. The detection member has a configuration in which a locking portion is provided at the distal end of the locking arm that can be bent, and the locking portion locks the female housing until the two housings are properly fitted to each other. When the movement is restricted and kept in the standby position, when both housings are properly fitted, the locking state of the locking portion is released while the locking arm is bent by the mating male housing, Movement to the detection position is allowed. When the detection member reaches the detection position from the standby position, the locking arm is elastically restored, and the locking portion turns behind the lock receiving portion of the male housing to lock the locking receiving portion. On the other hand, when both housings are in the half-fitted state, the locked state of the locking portion is not released, and the movement of the detection member to the detection position is restricted. Therefore, the fitting state of both housings can be detected by whether or not the detection member can be moved.
In addition, the locking portion and the locking receiving portion have a semi-lock structure that can be brought into contact with each other along inclined surfaces along the return direction of the detection member (the detachment direction of both housings), and are in a detection position when the two housings are released. When a backward operation force is applied to the detection member, the locked state can be easily released.
JP 2003-142209 A

In the above case, the detection member can easily return from the detection position to the standby position, and when any external force (including vibration) acts on the detection member at the detection position, the locking portion and the locking receiving portion There is a possibility that the detection member is easily released from the detection position to the standby position. On the other hand, for example, when the structure is changed to a lock structure in which the locking portion and the locking receiving portion are firmly locked to increase the holding force of the detection member at the detection position, the detection member is moved backward. There is a circumstance that the locking state between the locking portion and the locking receiving portion cannot be released only by applying the operating force.

The present invention has been completed based on the above-described circumstances, and provides a connector that can prevent the detection member from being inadvertently moved while easily moving the detection member when necessary. With the goal.

As means for achieving the above-mentioned object, the invention of claim 1 is capable of moving between a pair of housings that can be fitted to each other and a standby position and a detection position with respect to one of the two housings. And a detection member that detects the fitting state of the two housings depending on whether the housing is movable, the detection member locking the one housing at the standby position and A temporary locking portion that restricts movement to the detection position and releases the locking state by interference with the other housing as both the housings are normally fitted, and allows movement to the detection position; A main locking portion that locks one of the housings at the detection position with a stronger locking force than the temporary locking portion and restricts the return movement to the standby position, and the main locking portion. Can be linked, The application of work force characterized in was configured to include an operation section which forms allow a return movement to the standby position by releasing the locked state of the main locking unit at the detection position.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the two housings can be fitted in the front-rear direction, the detection position is set in front of the standby position, and the operation portion is the detection member. The main locking portion is positioned in front of the operation portion, the temporary locking portion is positioned in front of the main locking portion, and the main locking portion The operating portion is formed on a deflectable main locking arm that has a deflection fulcrum forward in the detection member and extends backward, and the temporary locking portion has a deflection fulcrum in the rear in the detection member. It is characterized in that it is formed on a deflectable temporary locking arm that extends forward.
The invention of claim 3 is characterized in that, in the invention of claim 2, the temporary locking arms are arranged in pairs on both sides sandwiching the main locking arm.

According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in any one of the two housings according to the second or third aspect, a lock arm that holds the two housings in a properly fitted state is provided so as to be deflectable. The locking portion is configured to lock the one housing at the detection position, and further, the detection member is contacted with the lock arm in the unlocking direction when reaching the detection position. It is characterized in that a restricting portion that is arranged so as to be able to come into contact and restricts the elastic deflection of the lock arm in the unlocking direction is provided.

It is characterized by a semi-lock structure that can be contacted.

<Invention of Claim 1>
When the detection member is in the detection position, the main locking portion locks with a stronger locking force than the temporary locking portion and restricts the return movement of the detection member, so that the detection member accidentally returns to the standby position. Can be prevented. On the other hand, by applying an operating force to the operating part, the locked state of the main locking part can be released and the detection member can be moved back to the standby position, so that the detection member can be easily moved to the standby position when necessary. Can be returned.

<Invention of Claim 2>
The operating portion is located at the rear end of the detection member, the main locking portion is positioned in front of the operating portion, the temporary locking portion is positioned in front of the main locking portion, The operating portion is formed on a main locking arm that can be bent forward and has a bending fulcrum in the detection member, and the temporary locking portion has a bending fulcrum in the rear and extends forward in the detection member. Therefore, the functions of the main locking portion and the temporary locking portion can be satisfactorily exhibited while avoiding an increase in the size of the detection member.
<Invention of Claim 3>
Since the temporary locking arms are arranged in pairs on both sides of the main locking arm, the balance is good and the smoothness of the bending operation of both arms is ensured.

<Invention of Claim 4>
Since the main locking portion locks one housing at the detection position and the restriction portion restricts the bending operation of the lock arm at the detection position, both housings are substantially formed by the main locking portion, the lock arm, and the restriction portion. Thus, the holding force of both housings in the fitted state is increased.

<Invention of Claim 5>
Although the lock arm and the lock receiving part have a semi-lock structure and the locking force is weak, the locking force is compensated by this locking part. I can keep it. Further, since the lock arm and the lock receiving portion can be brought into contact with each other along the detaching direction of the two housings, rattling between the fitting surfaces of the two housings is caused by the bending operation of the lock arms. Occurrence can be suppressed.

A pair of left and right temporary locking receiving portions 47 having a square shape in plan view are formed at both ends in the width direction of the upper wall portion 39 so as to open. The temporary latch receiving portion 47 and the receiving opening 46B are not in communication with each other, but are in a positional relationship in which they partially overlap in the front-rear direction.

Next, the detection member 60 will be described. The detection member 60 is also made of synthetic resin, and has a flat plate shape as a whole as shown in FIGS. Specifically, the detection member 60 includes a main body portion 61 having a rectangular shape in plan view that can cover the upper surface of the terminal housing portion 32, a pressing plate portion 62 that projects from the rear end of the main body portion 61 in the width direction and upward, and a main body portion. A pair of left and right temporary locking arms 63 extending in a cantilevered manner from the both ends of the rear end of the 61 (both ends of the pressing plate 62) to the front, and a substantially central portion in the width direction of the main body 61. The main arm 61 is provided with a main locking arm 64 that extends slightly in front of the center in the front-rear direction and extends rearwardly in a cantilevered manner. Both temporary locking arms 63 are located on both sides of the main locking arm 64, and the temporary locking arms 63 and the main locking arm 64 are arranged in parallel in the width direction. Further, the height of the main locking arm 64 is positioned higher than the heights of the temporary locking arms 63 in the vertical direction.

Both the temporary locking arms 63 and the main locking arms 64 can be bent and deformed in the vertical direction, and as described above, the bending fulcrum (base end) of both the temporary locking arms 63 is located on the rear side. The bending fulcrum (base end) of the locking arm 64 is located in the front, and has a positional relationship in which both bending operations intersect in a side view.

A temporary locking portion 65 is formed at the front end (tip) of the temporary locking arm 63 so as to protrude upward. The front surface of the temporary locking portion 65 is a contact surface 65A that is cut substantially vertically, and is in contact with the stopper edge 45 of the female housing 30 along the vertical direction (direction perpendicular to the moving direction to the detection position) at the standby position. The movement of the detection member 60 to the detection position is regulated by contact. The upper surface of the temporary locking portion 65 is a first tapered surface 65B that slopes downward toward the front, and when the housings 10 and 30 are properly fitted, the abutting portion 17 of the hood portion 12 comes into contact therewith and rides up. Then, the downward bending operation of the temporary locking arm 63 is induced. The rear surface of the temporary locking portion 65 is a second tapered surface 65C that is inclined downward toward the rear, and can be locked with the rear edge of the temporary locking receiving portion 47 of the female housing 30 by a semi-lock at the detection position. The The upper end of the contact surface 65A (the lower end of the first taper surface 65B) is positioned at substantially the same height as the upper end of the contact stop edge 45 at the standby position, and the lower end of the second taper surface 65C is the stop edge 45 of the contact stop edge 45 at the standby position. It is located at substantially the same height as the lower end, and has a substantially triangular shape from the first tapered surface 65B to the second tapered surface 65C.

A main locking portion 66 is formed to protrude upward at an intermediate portion in the length direction of the main locking arm 64, and an operation portion 67 is formed to protrude rearward from the main locking portion 66. ing. Between the main locking portion 66 and the operation portion 67, the latching main body 46C can be fitted at the detection position. The front surface of the main locking portion 66 is an upwardly inclined taper surface 66A, and the rear surface of the main locking portion 66 is a locking surface 66B that is substantially vertical. The locking surface 66B of the main locking portion 66 can be brought into contact with the locking receiving surface 46D of the locking portion 46A along the vertical direction (direction perpendicular to the moving direction to the standby position) at the detection position. It exerts a stronger locking force than the temporary locking portion 65 made. The operation part 67 has a rectangular block as a whole, and is arranged between the pressing plate part 62 and the main locking part 66 in the front-rear direction. The upper surface of the operation unit 67 is a flat surface 67A that can be easily pressed with a finger.

The body 61 is formed with a pair of left and right relief portions 68 that avoid interference with the temporary locking arms 63 when the temporary locking arms 63 are elastically bent downward. A stepped portion 69 is formed in the main body 61 at a position corresponding to the base end (deflection fulcrum) of the main locking arm 64 (see FIG. 3B). The rear portion side of the step portion 69 in the main body portion 61 is located at a position one step lower than the front portion side and has a bending space between the main locking arm 64 and is disposed substantially parallel to the main locking arm 64. The over-deflection restricting portion 70 restricts the excessive bending operation of the main locking arm 64 downward. The excessive deflection restricting portion 70 is continuous with the lower edge of the opening window 71 formed in the pressing plate portion 62. The rear end (free end) of the main locking arm 64 is caused to enter the opening window 71 of the pressing plate portion 62, and the excessive bending operation of the main locking arm 64 is restricted by the upper edge of the opening window 71, The swinging motion of the main locking arm 64 in the width direction is restricted by the left and right side edges of the opening window 71.

A restricting portion 72 that restricts the bending operation of the lock arm 14 by entering the bending space of the lock arm 14 at the detection position is formed at a substantially central portion in the width direction of the main body portion 61. The restricting portion 72 is formed in a rib shape from the front end of the main body portion 61 to the stepped portion 69, and has an insertion groove 73 that is elongated in the front-rear direction and opens in the front surface and the lower surface. Can be inserted in an idle state. The restricting portion 72 is disposed so as to be sandwiched between the lock arm 14 and the upper wall portion 39 in the vertical direction at the detection position. The stepped portion 69 is configured to be continuous from the base end of the main locking arm 64 while intersecting the rear end of the restricting portion 72 at a substantially right angle, and the tip of the lock arm 14 of the other party (the lock projection 15) at the detection position. Abutment is possible along the vertical direction.

Further, a pair of left and right retaining pieces 74 are formed on both side edges of the main body 61 so as to protrude. The rear surfaces of both retaining pieces 74 can be brought into contact with the stopper edge 41 of the female housing 30 in the detection position along the width direction (direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the detection member 60 to the standby position). The two retaining pieces 74 are positioned below the temporary locking portion 65 in the vertical direction, and are adjacent to each other with the relief portion 68 and the thin portion 75 interposed therebetween, and are slidably brought into contact with the guide slope 44 of the female side housing 30. The thin portion 75 can be bent toward the relief portion 68 side.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described.
The detection member 60 is inserted into the assembly space 36 of the assembly part 33 of the female housing 30 from the rear. In the process of insertion, the retaining piece 74 slides along the guide slope 44, and with the completion of insertion, the retaining piece 74 elastically locks the stopper edge 41 and the detection member 60 is prevented from coming off at the standby position. The Further, when the detection member 60 reaches the standby position, the contact surface 65A of the temporary locking portion 65 comes into contact with the contact stop edge 45, and the movement of the detection member 60 to the detection position is restricted. At this time, the main locking portion 66 is arranged behind the main locking receiving portion 46 at a distance.

Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 1, the female housing 30 with the detection member 60 assembled at the standby position is directly opposed to the mating male housing 10, and the two housings 10 and 30 are fitted from this state. In the fitting process, as shown in FIG. 2A, the female housing 30 (the terminal accommodating portion 32 and the assembly portion 33) enters the hood portion 12, and the lock protrusion 15 is the lock receiving portion 37. The lock arm 14 is elastically bent upward. At this time, the restricting portion 72 of the detection member 60 is disposed behind the bending space of the lock arm 14 so as to ensure a smooth bending operation of the lock arm 14. When both the housings 10 and 30 are properly fitted, the lock projection 15 locks the lock receiving portion 37 from the rear by the elastic restoring force of the lock arm 14. During this time, the lock projection 15 is displaced in an arc along the inclined surface 37A of the lock receiving portion 37, and after the housings 10 and 30 are fitted, the lock projection 15 rattles back and forth between the lock projection 15 and the lock receiving portion 37. Is prevented from occurring.

When both housings 10 and 30 are properly fitted, the abutting portion 17 rides on the first taper surface 65B of the temporary locking portion 65, and the temporary locking arm 63 is elastically bent downward to temporarily lock. The locked state between the portion 65 and the stopper edge 45 is released. When the detection member 60 is pushed into the detection position in this state, as shown in FIG. 3A, the temporary locking portion 65 slides in the undersurface of the upper wall portion 39 and the temporary locking arm 63 is moved. The leading end enters the escape portion 68, and the restricting portion 72 enters the bending space of the lock arm 14 (between the lock arm 14 and the upper wall portion 39) as shown in FIG. . During this time, the movement of the detection member 60 is smoothly guided in the front-rear direction by sliding the retaining piece 74 into the guide groove 40. Then, just before the detection member 60 reaches the detection position, the tapered surface 66A of the main locking portion 66 comes into contact with the latching main body 46C of the main locking receiving portion 46 from the rear, and the main locking arm 64 is elastically downward. Bend.

When the detection member 60 reaches the detection position, the temporary locking portion 65 is fitted into the temporary locking receiving portion 47 from below as the temporary locking arm 63 is elastically restored as shown in FIG. At the same time, as shown in FIG. 4B, the main locking portion 66 is fitted into the receiving opening 46B from below as the main locking arm 64 is elastically restored. Further, with the elastic return of the main locking arm 64, the locking surface 66B of the main locking portion 66 locks the locking receiving surface 46D of the latching main body 46C from the front, and the detection member 60 returns to the standby position. Restrict movement. Therefore, even if an external force is applied to the detection member 60, the locked state between the main locking portion 66 and the main locking receiving portion 46 is not easily released, and the detection member 60 is reliably held at the detection position. The front end of the restricting portion 72 reaches the same position as the front surface of the female housing 30 in the front-rear direction, and the restricting portion 72 makes a long contact with the upper surface of the lock arm 14 in the front-rear direction, thereby reliably restricting the bending operation of the lock arm 14. Is done. Furthermore, the stepped portion 69 is abutted against the tip of the rigid lock arm 14 from the front, and the forward movement of the detection member 60 is restricted.

On the other hand, when both the housings 10 and 30 are not yet properly fitted and are left in a half-fitted state, the abutting portion 17 reaches a position where it can come into contact with the first tapered surface 65B of the temporary locking portion 65. Therefore, the locked state between the temporary locking portion 65 and the stopper edge 45 is still maintained, and the movement of the detection member 60 to the detection position is restricted. Therefore, it is possible to determine whether or not both housings 10 and 30 are in a properly fitted state based on whether or not the detection member 60 can be moved.

Further, the housings 10 and 30 may be detached due to maintenance or the like. In that case, the flat surface 67A of the operation portion 67 of the detection member 60 is pressed with a finger from above, and the main locking arm 64 is elastically bent downward, so that the main locking portion 66 and the main locking receiving portion 46 Release the locked state. Next, the detection member 60 is slid and moved backward in that state. Then, the main locking portion 66 passes under the latching main body 46C and goes around the latching main body 46C, and the detection member 60 is held at the standby position by the elastic restoring force of the main locking arm 64. When the detection member 60 returns to the standby position in this way, the restriction state of the lock arm 14 by the restricting portion 72 is released. At this time, since the lock protrusion 15 and the lock receiving portion 37 are merely brought into contact with each other at the slopes 15A and 37A along the direction in which both the housings 10 and 30 are detached, both the housings are returned after the detection member 60 is returned to the standby position. When the 10, 30 is pulled in the separating direction, both the housings 10, 30 are easily pulled apart. On the other hand, if the detection member 60 is left before reaching the standby position, the restricting portion 72 is still located in the bending space of the lock arm 14 and the bending restriction state of the lock arm 14 is maintained. 30 cannot be pulled apart.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, when the detection member 60 is in the detection position, the main locking portion 66 locks the main locking receiving portion 46 with a stronger locking force than the temporary locking portion 65. By doing so, the return movement of the detection member 60 to the standby position is restricted, so that the detection member 60 can be prevented from accidentally returning to the standby position by an external force (including vibration or the like). On the other hand, by applying an operating force (pressing force) to the operating portion 67, the locked state of the main locking portion 66 can be easily released, and when the both housings 10 and 30 are released, the detection member 60 can be easily moved to the standby position. Can be returned to.

In addition, the operation portion 67 is located at the rear end portion of the detection member 60, the main locking portion 66 is positioned in front of the operation portion 67, and the temporary locking portion 65 is positioned in front of the main locking portion 66. The main locking portion 66 and the operating portion 67 are formed on a deflectable main locking arm 64 having a bending fulcrum at the front of the detection member 60 and extending backward, and the temporary locking portion 65 is detected. Since the member 60 is formed on a deflectable temporary locking arm 63 having a bending fulcrum at the rear and extending forward, the standby by the main locking portion 66 is avoided while avoiding an increase in the size of the detection member 60. The function of restricting the return to the position and the function of restricting the movement to the detection position by the temporary locking portion 65 can be satisfactorily exhibited.

Further, since the temporary locking arms 63 are arranged in pairs on both sides of the main locking arm 64, the balance is improved, and both the temporary locking arm 63 and the main locking arm 64 are bent. The operation is smooth.
Further, the main locking portion 66 locks the main locking receiving portion 46 provided in the female housing 30 at the detection position, and the restricting portion 72 restricts the bending operation of the lock arm 14 at the detection position. Both housings 10 and 30 are locked substantially triple by the main locking portion 66, the lock arm 14, and the restricting portion 72, and the holding force of the housings 10 and 30 in the fitted state is increased. In addition, if the temporary locking portion 65 is locked with the temporary locking receiving portion 47 by a semi-lock, it can be said that the temporary locking portion 65 is substantially quadruply locked.

Furthermore, although the lock arm 14 and the lock receiving portion 37 have a semi-lock structure and the locking force is weak, the locking force is compensated by the main locking portion 66 (and the temporary locking portion 65). Therefore, the holding force of the housings 10 and 30 in the fitted state can be maintained. Further, since the lock arm 14 and the lock receiving portion 37 can come into contact with the inclined surfaces 15A and 37A along the detaching direction of both the housings 10 and 30, both the housings 10 are caused by the bending operation of the lock arm 14. , 30 can suppress the occurrence of rattling.
