Abstract
Description
Claims (13)
- コアシース構造の細長い部材を含んでなる細長い外科修復製品であり、前記コアが複数の高強度超高分子量ポリエチレン(UHMWPE)繊維を含有する製品であって、前記細長い部材が実質的に非孔性であるUHMWPEシースを有することを特徴とする製品。
- 前記部材がUHMWPEから本質的になる、請求項1に記載の製品。
- 前記部材が1.0より大きい断面幅対厚さ比を有する、請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
- 前記幅対厚さ比が約1.5〜25である、請求項3に記載の製品。
- 前記シース層が少なくとも20マイクロメートルの厚さを有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
- 前記UHMWPEシースが約10〜90質量%の部材を形成する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
- 外科用縫合糸である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
- 整形外科用ケーブルである、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
- 複数のUHMWPE繊維を含有する細長い前駆体部材を熱処理にかけると同時に前記繊維を張力により保持し、UHMWPE繊維のコアの周りに実質的に非孔性であるUHMWPEシース層を形成するステップを含んでなる、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の細長い外科的修復製品の製造工程。
- 前記前駆体における繊維が、約1.1〜2.5の伸長比で伸長することによって張力により保持される、請求項9に記載の工程。
- 前記UHMWPEが約8〜40dl/gのIVを有する、請求項10または11に記載の工程。
- 前記UHMWPE繊維が2.0GPaよりも大きい引張強度を有する、請求項10〜12のいずれか一項に記載の工程。
- 前記繊維が繊維当り約0.3〜約10dtexの線密度を有する、請求項10〜13のいずれか一項に記載の工程。
