Description

The present invention relates to a side body structure of an automobile in which an impact load at the time of a vehicle side collision is transmitted to a vehicle body constituent member via an impact beam disposed in a door.

In an automobile, for example, in Patent Document 1, a load is transmitted between an impact beam disposed in a door and a floor member in order to prevent the door from being deformed and entering the vehicle interior at the time of a vehicle side collision. A bracket is arranged so that the impact load at the time of a side collision is transmitted from the impact beam to the floor member via the bracket.
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-95231

By the way, in the above conventional side body structure, when the impact load is transmitted from the impact beam to the bracket, the impact beam and the bracket may be displaced in the vertical direction or may be detached depending on the deformation of the door. There is a concern that the impact load cannot be reliably transmitted to the floor member.

Here, in order to prevent the above-described deviation and detachment, it is conceivable to increase the impact beam receiving surface of the bracket or to form a recess into which the impact beam fits in the receiving surface. However, if the receiving surface is enlarged, there will be a problem of securing the arrangement space and an increase in weight, and if the recess is formed, there will be a problem that the free running distance until the impact beam is engaged is increased. is there.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described conventional situation, and the impact load at the time of a vehicle side collision is transferred from the impact beam to the vehicle body component member without causing the problem of securing the arrangement space, increasing the weight, and increasing the free running distance. It is an object to provide a side body structure of an automobile that can be reliably transmitted.

According to a first aspect of the present invention, a door is disposed in a door opening formed in a side portion of the vehicle body, an impact beam extending in the vehicle front-rear direction is disposed in the door, and a vehicle side surface is disposed on the inner side in the vehicle width direction of the door. A side body structure of an automobile in which a vehicle body structural member that receives an impact load from the impact beam at the time of a collision is disposed, and between the impact beam and the vehicle body structural member, A load transmitting member that transmits an impact load to the vehicle body constituent member is disposed, the load transmitting member including at least a pair of vertical walls extending substantially parallel to the input direction of the impact load, and the vertical walls. And a plurality of bead portions that are deformed inward so as to sandwich the impact beam when a vehicle side collision occurs.

Here, the vehicle body constituting member includes a rocker member, a pillar member, a floor member, a side member, a cross member, a seat frame of a seat, and the like.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the load transmitting member includes a deformable portion that deforms inward of the vehicle so as to hold the impact beam in response to an impact load from the impact beam, The load transmitting portion is integrally formed so as to connect the vertical walls to each other.

According to the side body structure of the present invention, the load transmitting member is disposed between the impact beam and the vehicle body constituting member, and the load transmitting member is at least a pair of vertical walls extending substantially parallel to the input direction of the collision load. And a plurality of bead portions that are deformed inward so that the impact beam is sandwiched between the vertical walls at the time of a side collision, so that the bead portions of the vertical walls are deformed so as to sandwich the impact beam. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the impact beam from shifting or coming off from the load transmitting member. Thereby, the impact load can be reliably transmitted from the impact beam to the vehicle body constituting member via the load transmitting member, and the impact beam can be prevented from entering the passenger compartment.

In addition, since the structure is such that only the bead portion is formed on the vertical wall of the load transmitting portion, the problem of securing the arrangement space and the problem of weight increase can be avoided, and the idle running distance until the impact beam is engaged is increased. Can be avoided.

In the invention of claim 2, since the deforming portion that deforms to the inside of the vehicle so as to hold the impact beam is integrally formed to connect the vertical walls to the load transmitting portion, the deforming portion deforms inward, Each bead portion functions as a guide for deforming the impact beam so as to sandwich the impact beam, and the bead portion and the impact beam can be more reliably engaged.

In addition, since the deformation of each bead portion is only in the vicinity of the deformation portion, the impact load from the impact beam is efficiently transmitted to the vehicle body constituent member via the load transmission portion.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a vehicle body. The vehicle body 1 includes left and right side panels (vehicle body side portions) 2 and 2 and a roof panel 3 connected between upper ends of the left and right side panels. And a floor panel 4 connected between the lower ends of the vehicle compartment 5 is formed. The left and right side panels 2 include a front pillar 7, a center pillar 8, and a quarter pillar 9 that extend substantially in the vertical direction, and left and right roof rails 10 and 10 that extend in the front-rear direction between the upper and lower ends of the quarter pillar 9. 11, 11 and 11 are connected to each other.

The left and right rocker panels 11 have a structure in which a rocker outer panel 11a and a rocker inner panel 11c are coupled so as to form a closed section with a rocker-in hose 11b interposed between the two rockers 11a and 11c.

The left and right roof rails 10 are connected to the left and right edge portions (not shown) of the roof panel 3, and the left and right rocker panels 11 are connected to the left and right edge portions 4 a of the floor panel 4. Further, rear side members 25, 25 extending in the front-rear direction are disposed on the lower surface of the floor panel 4 on the inner side of the left and right rocker panels 11, and the rear side members 25 are connected to the rocker panel 11 together with the floor panel 4. (See FIG. 3).

Thus, the front door opening 2a and the rear door opening 2b are formed in the side panel 2, and the front door 12 is disposed in the front door opening 2a, and the rear door 13 is disposed in the rear door opening 2b. The rear door 13 is rotatably supported by the center pillar 8 via a pair of upper and lower door hinges 14 and 14.

The rear door 13 includes a door body 15 formed by joining outer peripheral edges of the outer panel 15a and the inner panel 15b, and a window frame 16 formed on the door body 15. A window glass 16a for opening and closing the opening of the window frame 16 is arranged to be movable up and down (see FIGS. 1 and 3).

An impact beam 20 is disposed in the door body 15 of the rear door 13 so as to extend obliquely forward and obliquely upward in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The impact beam 20 is composed of a rod-shaped pipe member having a circular cross section in the direction perpendicular to the axis, and is disposed so as to overlap the seat cushion 6a of the seat 6 in the vehicle width direction when viewed from the side of the vehicle.

The impact beam 20 is disposed so that the front end 20a overlaps the center pillar 8 and close to the lower door hinge 14 when viewed from the side of the vehicle, and the rear end 20b overlaps the rear end 11d of the rocker panel 11. Has been placed.

At the time of a vehicle side collision, the impact beam 20 is stretched between the center pillar 8 and the rocker panel 11 to suppress deformation of the rear door 13 toward the vehicle compartment 5 side.

Between the rear end portion 20b of the impact beam 20 and the rear side member (vehicle body constituting member) 25 connected to the floor panel 4, an impact load at the time of a vehicle side collision is transmitted from the impact beam 20 to the rear side member 25, A load transmission member 22 for transmitting to the floor panel 4 is disposed.

The load transmitting member 22 is disposed between the rocker outer panel 11a and the rocker in hose 11b in the rocker panel 11, and is fixed to the rocker in hose 11b so as to face the rear end 20b of the impact beam 20. In other words, the load transmission member 22 is positioned at substantially the same height as the rear end portion 20b of the impact beam 20 and the rear side member 25, and is disposed to face the rear side member 25 in the vehicle width direction.

The load transmission member 22 is integrally formed by bending a flat steel plate material punched and formed by a press. Thus, since the load transmission member 22 is formed by bending a steel plate material, the manufacturing cost can be reduced as compared with the case where it is formed by drawing, for example.

The load transmission member 22 receives a shock load from the impact beam 20 when a vehicle side collision occurs, and deforms to the inside of the vehicle so as to hold the impact beam 20, and the impact following the deformation portion 22a. A load transmitting portion 22b for transmitting a collision load from the beam 20 to the rear side member 25 is provided, and in detail, the following structure is provided.

The load transmission portion 22b has a substantially rectangular tube shape formed so that the cross-sectional area decreases from the vehicle inner side to the outer side.

Specifically, the load transmitting portion 22b is formed on the inner side of the vehicle following the front and rear edges of the deformable portion 22a, and a pair of front and rear front vertical walls 22c and a rear vertical portion extending substantially parallel to the input direction of the impact load. And a wall 22d. Thereby, the said deformation | transformation part 22a is integrally formed so that the front and back vertical wall 22c, 22d may be connected with the load transmission part 22b.

The load transmitting portion 22b includes a front upper wall 22e and a front lower wall 22f which are bent to the rear side following the upper and lower edges of the front vertical wall 22c, and a front side following the inner edge of the front vertical wall 22c. And a front flange portion 22g formed by bending.

Further, the load transmitting portion 22b includes a rear upper wall 22h and a rear lower wall 22i that are bent to the front side following the upper and lower edges of the rear vertical wall 22d, and a rear side following the inner edge of the rear vertical wall 22d. And a rear flange portion 22j formed by bending.

The front upper wall 22e and the rear upper wall 22h are overlapped and connected by spot welding, and the front lower wall 22f and the rear lower wall 22i are overlapped and connected by spot welding. The front and rear flange portions 22g and 22j are connected to the rocker-in hose 11b by welding.

Between the deformation part 22a, the front and rear upper walls 22e and 22h and the front and rear lower walls 22f and 22i, there are provided gaps t and t that allow the deformation part 22a to be deformed inward of the vehicle. Yes. The upper and lower gaps t are preset in order to perform the bending process, and the deforming portion 22a is deformed by the gap t.

In the front vertical wall 22c and the rear vertical wall 22d, a pair of upper and lower bead portions 22k, 22k and 22m, 22m that are deformed inward so as to sandwich the impact beam 20 from the upper and lower sides at the time of a vehicle side collision are bulged. .

The bead portions 22k and 22m are formed over the entire length from the outer edge to the inner edge of the front vertical wall 22c and the rear vertical wall 22d so as to extend in the input direction of the impact load. The vertical interval between the bead portions 22k and 22m is set slightly larger than the diameter of the impact beam 20.

When the impact beam 20 enters the vehicle compartment 5 due to a side collision, the deformed portion 22a is deformed inward so as to hold the impact beam 20, and the outer end portions of the bead portions 22k and 22m are deformed as the deformed portion 22a is deformed. 22k ′ and 22m ′ are deformed so as to go around into the deformed portion 22a, and the outer end portions 22k ′ and 22m ′ sandwich the impact beam 20 (see FIGS. 6 and 7).

According to the present embodiment, the load transmission member 22 is disposed between the rear end portion 20b of the impact beam 20 and the rear side member 25 as a vehicle body constituting member, and the load transmission member 22 is placed in the input direction of the collision load. A load transmitting portion 22b having front and rear vertical walls 22c and 22d extending substantially in parallel, and formed in the front and rear vertical walls 22c and 22d so as to extend in the input direction, and inward so as to sandwich the impact beam 20 in a side collision. Since the bead portions 22k and 22m are deformed, the bead portions 22k and 22m of the front and rear vertical walls 22c and 22d are deformed so as to sandwich the impact beam 20 from above and below. It is possible to prevent the load transmitting member 22 from shifting or coming off (see FIGS. 6 and 7). As a result, the impact load can be reliably transmitted from the impact beam 20 to the floor panel 4 from the rear side member 25 via the load transmission member 22, and the impact beam 20, and consequently the rear door 13 can be prevented from entering the vehicle compartment 5. it can.

In addition, since the bead portions 22k and 22m are simply bulged and formed on the front and rear vertical walls 22c and 22d in front of the load transmitting portion 22b, it is possible to avoid the problem of securing the arrangement space and increasing the weight, and the impact beam. It is possible to avoid the problem that the free running distance until the is engaged becomes large.

Further, since the bead portions 22k and 22m are formed on the front and rear vertical walls 22c and 22d, the rigidity of the load transmitting member 22 can be increased, and the collision load can be effectively transmitted to the rear side member 25.

In the present embodiment, the deforming portion 22a that deforms to the inside of the vehicle so as to hold the impact beam 20 is integrally formed so as to connect the front and rear vertical walls 22c and 22d of the load transmitting portion 22b. Functions as a guide for deforming the bead portions 22k and 22m so as to sandwich the impact beam 20, and the bead portions 22k and 22m and the impact beam 20 can be more reliably engaged.

Further, since the deformation of the bead portions 22k and 22m is only the outer end portions 22k ′ and 22m ′ in the vicinity of the deformation portion 22a, the impact load from the impact beam 20 is efficiently applied to the rear side member 25 via the load transmitting portion 22b. It will be communicated well.

In the above embodiment, the load transmission member 22 is disposed in the rocker panel 11. However, the load transmission member of the present invention may be disposed in the front door 12 or the rear door 13.

Moreover, although the said load transmission member 22 was integrally formed by the bending process, you may comprise by two or more steel plate materials in this invention.

Furthermore, although the rear side member 25 has been described as an example of the vehicle body component in the above embodiment, the present invention may be a vehicle body component such as a rocker member, a pillar member, a floor member, or a cross member.

In the above embodiment, the load transmission member 22 is disposed between the rocker outer panel 11a and the rocker inner hose 11b. However, in the present invention, the load transmission member 22 is disposed between the rocker inner hose 11b and the rocker inner panel 11c. Another load transmission member 22 ′ may be arranged so as to face (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 3). In such a case, the load transmission efficiency at the time of a side collision can be further increased. In addition, you may arrange | position a vehicle body structural member so as to oppose the said load transmission member 22 between the rocker inn hose 11b and the rocker inner panel 11c.
