Abstract
【解決手段】リチウムイオンを挿入及び脱離できる正極活物質を含む正極2、リチウムイオンを挿入及び脱離できる負極活物質を含む負極3及び非水性有機溶媒とリチウム塩を含む電解質を含む。正極2は、3.65g/cc以上の合剤密度を有して、またリチウム塩はリチウムヘキサフルオロホスファート(LiPF6)、リチウムテトラフルオロボラート(LiBF4)及びリチウムイミド系化合物を含む。これにより、高合剤密度を有する正極を含んで、高容量を示し、また優れた寿命特性及び高温信頼性を有する。

(化学式1〜化学式24において、AはNi、Co、Mn、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択され;BはAl、Ni、Co、Mn、Cr、Fe、Mg、Sr、V、希土類元素及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択され;DはO、F、S、P、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択され;EはCo、Mn、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択され;FはF、S、P、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択され;GはMg、Ca、Sr、Ba、Ra、Sc、Y、Ti、Zr、Hf、Rf、V、Nb、Ta、Db、Cr、Mo、W、Sg、Tc、Re、Bh、Fe、Ru、Os、Hs、Rh、Ir、Pd、Pt、Cu、Ag、Au、Zn、Cd、B、Al、Ga、In、Tl、Si、Ge、Sn、P、As、Sb、Bi、S、Se、Te、Po、Fe、Sr、ランタン族元素、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から 選択され;QはTi、Mo、Mn、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択され;IはCr、V、Fe、Sc、Y、Ti、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択され;JはV、Cr、Mn、Co、Ni、Cu、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択される)。
エチレンカーボネート/ジメチルカーボネート/エチルメチルカーボネート(EC/DMC/EMC)が3/3/4の体積比に混合された非水性有機溶媒に、下記表1に記載されたようにリチウム塩を添加して電解質を製造した。
1gの(NH4)2HPO4と1.5gのAlナイトレート(Al(NO3)3・9H2O)を100mlの水に添加してコーティング液を製造した。この時非晶質AlPOk相がコロイド形態に析出された。このコーティング液10mlに平均粒径が10μmのLiCoO220gを添加して混合した後、130℃で30分間乾燥した。乾燥した粉末を400℃で5時間熱処理して、表面にAlとPを含む固溶体化合物とAlPOk化合物を含む表面処理層が形成された正極活物質を製造した。この時AlとPの総量は活物質に対して1質量%だけ含有させた。
LiCoO2の代わりに平均粒径が13μmのLiMn2O4を使ったことを除いて実施例16と同一な方法で実施して、リチウム二次電池を製造した。
LiCoO2の代わりに平均粒径が13μmのLiNi0.9Co0.1Sr0.002O2を使ったことを除いては実施例16と同一な方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
コーティング液20mlに平均粒径が10μmの活物質SnO220gを添加したことを除いて実施例16と同一な方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。この時、AlとPの総量は活物質に対して2質量%だけ含有させた。

Claims (14)
- リチウムイオンを挿入及び脱離することができる正極活物質を含む正極と、
リチウムイオンを挿入及び脱離することができる負極活物質を含む負極と、
非水性有機溶媒及びリチウム塩を含む電解質とを含み、
前記正極活物質は3.65g/cc以上の合剤密度を有し、
前記リチウム塩は、リチウムヘキサフルオロホスファート(LiPF6)、リチウムテトラフルオロボラート(LiBF4)及びリチウムイミド系化合物を含むことを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。 - 前記リチウムイミド系化合物が、Li[N(SO2CF3)2]、Li[N(SO2CF2CF3)2]及びこれらの混合物から成る群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記リチウムイミド系化合物が、0.1M 〜0.7Mの濃度で含まれることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記LiPF6が、0.7M 〜1.5Mの濃度で含まれることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記LiBF4が、電解液総質量に対して0.05質量%〜0.5質量%で含まれることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記電解質が、LiSbF6、LiAsF6、LiClO4、LiCF3SO3、LiC4F9SO3、LiAlO4、LiAlCl4、LiSO3CF3、LiCl、LiI、LiB(C2O4)2、及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択されるリチウム塩をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記正極活物質が、3.7〜4.1g/ccの合剤密度を持つことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記正極活物質が、下記の化学式1〜化学式24の化合物から成る群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。

- 前記二重結合形成可能な元素はP、S、W及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項9又は10に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記負極活物質はリチウム、リチウムと合金化可能な金属物質、炭素質物質、前記金属物質と炭素質物質を含む複合物質及びこれらの混合物から成る群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記リチウムと合金可能な金属はAl、Si、Sn、Pb、Zn、Bi、In、Mg、Ga、Cd、Ag、Ge、Ti、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記非水性有機溶媒はカーボネート系溶媒、エステル系溶媒、エーテル系溶媒、ケトン系溶媒、アルコール系溶媒、陽子性溶媒、非陽子性溶媒、及びこれらの混合物から成る群より選択される有機溶媒を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
