Abstract
【解決手段】磁性ドットがダウントラック方向に等間隔で配列して磁性ドット列を多数含む磁気ディスクと、隣接する複数の磁性ドット列を1トラックとし、1トラック内の複数の磁性ドット列に含まれる磁性ドットに順次記録再生を行う記録再生ヘッドとを有し、前記磁気ディスクの1トラック内の複数の磁性ドット列に含まれる磁性ドットは、前記記録再生ヘッドによって順次アクセスされるように、前記記録再生ヘッドと記録トラックとの間に生じるスキュー角に応じて、ダウントラック方向にずらして配置されていることを特徴とする磁気ディスク装置。

Description
磁気ディスク51の外周部上に移動すると、ヘッドスライダ56は記録トラックに対して傾いて配置される。この際、スキュー角θとは、再生ヘッドの長辺の方向とクロストラック方向との間に形成される角度である。
Claims (3)
- 磁性ドットがダウントラック方向に等間隔で配列して磁性ドット列を多数含む磁気ディスクと、
隣接する複数の磁性ドット列を1トラックとし、1トラック内の複数の磁性ドット列に含まれる磁性ドットに順次記録再生を行う記録再生ヘッドと
を有し、
前記磁気ディスクの1トラック内の複数の磁性ドット列に含まれる磁性ドットは、前記記録再生ヘッドによって順次アクセスされるように、前記記録再生ヘッドと記録トラックとの間に生じるスキュー角に応じて、ダウントラック方向にずらして配置されていることを特徴とする磁気ディスク装置。 - 前記磁気ディスクは、N列の磁性ドット列が1トラックとして用いられ、トラックピッチをT、スキュー角がゼロのときのビットピッチをB、スキュー角をθとしたとき、各磁性ドット列に含まれる磁性ドットはダウントラック方向にNBのピッチで配列され、1トラック内のn列目(nは0からN−1までの整数)の磁性ドット列に含まれる磁性ドットは、1トラック内の0列目の磁性ドット列に含まれる磁性ドットに対して、ダウントラック方向にB−(Tn/N)tanθだけずれて配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の磁気ディスク装置。
- 1トラック内の磁性ドット列間の間隔が、トラック間の間隔よりも狭いことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の磁気ディスク装置。
