Claims (6)
- 設定温度以上への昇温制御を必要とする第1排気浄化装置と、前記第1排気浄化装置の上流側に配置された第2排気浄化装置とを具備し、前記第1排気浄化装置において前記昇温制御を実施する時には、前記第2排気浄化装置が前記設定温度以上へ昇温されないようにすることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記第1排気浄化装置と前記第2排気浄化装置との間に燃料を供給する燃料供給装置を具備し、前記燃料供給装置により供給された燃料を前記第1排気浄化装置に担持させた酸化触媒又は前記第1排気浄化装置の直上流側に位置する酸化触媒装置に担持させた酸化触媒によって燃焼させることにより、前記第1排気浄化装置において前記昇温制御を実施し、前記昇温制御を実施する時には前記第2排気浄化装置が前記設定温度以上へ昇温されないようにすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記第1排気浄化装置において前記昇温制御を実施する際に前記酸化触媒が活性温度未満である時には、前記燃料供給装置により供給される燃料量より少量の燃料を、前記第2排気浄化装置の上流側から供給し、前記第2排気浄化装置の酸化機能により前記少量の燃料を燃焼させて排気ガスを昇温させ、昇温させた排気ガスにより前記酸化触媒を活性化温度以上に昇温させた後に、前記燃料供給装置により燃料を供給することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記第2排気浄化装置はNOX吸蔵還元触媒装置であり、前記NOX吸蔵還元触媒装置において吸蔵NOXを放出して還元浄化するために、前記NOX吸蔵還元触媒装置へ流入する排気ガスの空燃比が理論空燃比又はリッチ空燃比とされる時に、前記第1排気浄化装置において前記昇温制御を実施することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記第1排気浄化装置は活性酸素放出剤を担持するパティキュレートフィルタであり、前記昇温制御とは別に、前記パティキュレートフィルタへ流入する単位時間当たりのパティキュレート量が多いほど、前記パティキュレートフィルタの温度が高くなるように、前記燃料供給装置から燃料が供給されることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記第2排気浄化装置はNOX吸蔵還元触媒装置であり、前記NOX吸蔵還元触媒装置の上流側には、排気ガス中のSOXを吸蔵するSトラップ装置が配置されることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
