Abstract
【解決手段】織布または不織布の繊維表面に金属を被覆した電極基板に活物質を充填した後、加圧成形して電極とする電池用電極の製造方法である。そして、前記加圧成形は、加圧成形後の電極の厚みをtとしたとき、2.0t未満の厚みの電極基板を用いて行う。活物質を充填後の電極基板を圧縮する割合を規定することにより、電極基板の厚さを、十分な量の活物質を充填可能な厚さとすることができると共に、充填した活物質が電極基板から剥離し難くい電池用電極を製造することができる。

Description
上記のようにして作製した試料No.1〜10の電池を充放電係数1Cで充放電し、1000サイクル後の電池の容量維持率を調べた。また、容量維持率を調べた後に電池を解体して電極の厚さがどれだけ膨張しているかを調べた。その結果を表2に示す。表2に示すように充放電を繰り返すことで電極は、ほぼ圧縮前の厚さに戻っていた。なお、表2におけるプレス前の厚さは、電極基板の厚さを示す。
Claims (4)
- 織布または不織布の繊維表面に金属を被覆した電極基板に活物質を充填した後、加圧成形して電極とする電池用電極の製造方法であって、
前記加圧成形は、加圧成形後の電極の厚みをtとしたとき、2.0t未満の厚みの電極基板を用いて行うことを特徴とする電池用電極の製造方法。 - 織布または不織布の繊維表面に金属を被覆した電極基板に活物質を充填した後、加圧成形して電極とする電池用電極であって、
加圧成形後の電極の厚みをtとしたとき、2.0t未満の厚みの電極基板を加圧成形して得たことを特徴とする電池用電極。 - 正極容量密度が400〜550mAh/ccで、厚みが0.4〜0.55mmであり、電極基板に充填する活物質がニッケル−水素電池用正極活物質であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電池用電極。
- 正極容量密度が550〜700mAh/ccで、厚みが0.55〜0.7mmであり、電極基板に充填する活物質がニッケル−水素電池用正極活物質であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電池用電極。
