Abstract
【解決手段】アクティブマトリクス基板及びカラーフィルタ基板を備えた表示パネルと、前記表示パネルの照光手段と、光センサ331〜336と、前記光センサ331〜336の出力に基づいて前記照光手段の発光強度を制御する制御部を備えた表示装置10において、前記カラーフィルタ基板のそれぞれ前記光センサ331〜336に対向する位置には前記光センサ331〜336の分光感度を人の視感度特性に合致させるための分光感度調整手段を設けたことを特徴とする。この分光感度調整手段としては、カラーフィルタないし偏光フィルタを使用することができる。

前記複数個の薄膜電界効果トランジスタは、それぞれのソース電極、ゲート電極及びドレイン電極が互いに並列接続されているとともに、前記ソース電極とドレイン電極との間にはコンデンサが、前記ソース電極と所定の定電圧源との間にはスイッチ素子が、それぞれ接続されていることを特徴とする。

Claims (9)
- アクティブマトリクス基板及びカラーフィルタ基板を備えた表示パネルと、前記表示パネルの照光手段と、光センサと、前記光センサの出力に基づいて前記照光手段の発光強度を制御する制御部を備えた表示装置において、
前記カラーフィルタ基板のそれぞれ前記光センサに対向する位置に前記光センサの分光感度調整手段を設けたことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記分光感度調整手段は、カラーフィルタ層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記カラーフィルタ層の色は、前記表示パネルの表示領域上にそれぞれの画素に対応して形成される色の複数色の組み合わせであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記カラーフィルタ層の色は、前記表示パネルの表示領域上にそれぞれの画素に対応して形成される色のいずれか一色であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記分光感度調整手段は、偏光フィルタ層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記分光感度調整手段は、前記カラーフィルタ層と前記偏光フィルタ層の組み合わせで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記光センサは複数個の薄膜電界効果トランジスタからなり、
前記複数個の薄膜電界効果トランジスタは、それぞれのソース電極、ゲート電極及びドレイン電極が互いに並列接続されているとともに、前記ソース電極とドレイン電極との間にはコンデンサが、前記ソース電極と所定の定電圧源との間にはスイッチ素子が、それぞれ接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の表示装置。 - 前記照光手段はバックライト又はサイドライトであり、前記表示装置は透過型又は半透過型液晶表示装置であることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記照光手段はフロントライトであり、前記表示装置は反射型液晶表示装置であることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
