Description

The present invention relates to a cable unit with a connector at both ends, a cable with a connector at both ends, and a cable connector, which are suitable for use when, for example, an administrator or an operator wants to confirm a pair of both ends of a network cable.

For example, in an office LAN, terminals are moved, exchanged, added, etc. frequently. Therefore, the operation of switching the cable wiring is performed each time. After that, after identifying the connector on one end of the cable It is necessary to start the switching operation after confirming where the connector on the other end side is connected. For this reason, a tag, an identification tag, etc. are attached to both ends of the cable, and the connectors at both ends of the cable are visually confirmed.
However, because the number of cables in a LAN, etc. is very large and the cables are congested, the connectors on both ends of a specific cable must be confirmed accurately by simply checking the tags and identification tags. Is difficult. Therefore, there is a possibility that a problem such as a system failure occurs due to unintentionally pulling out an unrelated connector.

Therefore, in order to eliminate such inconvenience, conventionally, the ground wire and the insulated wire are drawn out of the connector at both ends of the cable, the ground wire and the insulated wire are short-circuited at one end, and the other end is regarded as the other end. By connecting a tester, etc., between the grounding wire and the insulated wire on the side and confirming continuity, it is possible to check whether the connectors at both ends are compatible regardless of whether the cable is in operation or not. A cable with connectors at both ends that can be confirmed has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
JP 2002-017016 A

However, in the cable with connector at both ends described in Patent Document 1, the grounding wire and the insulated wire drawn out from the connector at one end are short-circuited and insulated from the grounded wire drawn from the connector at the other end. The continuity is confirmed by connecting a tester etc. between the wires. For this reason, it is necessary to always carry the tester with the tester and check the connectors at both ends. This is troublesome, especially when the cable installation location does not have sufficient brightness. You will have to prepare a large lamp.

The present invention has been made in order to eliminate such inconveniences, and when a plurality of cables with connectors at both ends are wired, the correspondence between the connectors at both ends of a specific cable is visually accurate, and An object of the present invention is to provide a cable unit with connectors at both ends, a cable with connectors at both ends, and a cable connector that can be easily confirmed.

Hereinafter, an example of an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of a cable unit with a connector at both ends as an example of an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining the configuration of the connector, FIG. 3 is a detailed diagram of the cable, and FIG. FIG. 5 is a circuit diagram in a state where the power supply device is connected to the first and second terminal portions of the connector.

(Cable with connectors at both ends)
The cable 20A with connectors at both ends includes a network cable 20 (hereinafter referred to as “cable 20”) and connectors 10A and 10B connected to both ends of the cable 20, respectively.
The cable 20 has two or more spare wires in addition to the communication core wire. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1-No. No. 8 has 8 core wires. 1-No. No. 3 core and No. 3 6-No. No. 8 core wire is used for communication between devices. 4 core wire 21 and No. 4 Five core wires 22 are reserved.

Next, the connectors 10A and 10B will be described.
Since both the connectors 10A and 10B have the same configuration, the connector 10A will be described. As shown in FIG. 2, the connector 10 </ b> A includes a main body 12, a terminal portion 11, a terminal portion (first terminal portion) 13, a terminal portion (second terminal portion) 14, and a lamp portion (light emitting portion) 15. Each is connected.

The terminal portion 11 is disposed at the end of the main body portion 12 on the side away from the cable 20 and is connected to a communication device. The terminal portion 13 and the terminal portion 14 are arranged at the end portion of the main body portion 12 on the cable 20 side, and the terminal portion 13 is a spare line of the cable 20. 4 is connected to the core wire 21, and the terminal portion 14 is a spare wire of the cable 20. 5 core wires 22 are connected. The lamp unit 15 is connected between the terminal unit 13 and the terminal unit 14. In this embodiment, a light emitting diode (LED) with low power consumption is used for the lamp unit 15. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, a small light bulb or the like may be used.

(Power supply device 30)
The power supply device 30 is detachably connected to the terminal portion 13 and the terminal portion 14 of one of the connectors 10A (or 10B) at both ends of the cable 20, and as shown in FIG. The terminal part 32, the battery 33, and the switch part (switch means) 34 are provided.
When the power supply device 30 is connected to the connector 10A (or 10B), the terminal portion 31 is connected to the terminal portion 13 of the connector 10A (or 10B), and the terminal portion 32 is connected to the terminal portion 14 of the connector. Is done.
As a method of connecting the power supply device 30 to the connector 10A (or 10B), a known terminal coupling structure can be employed in addition to male and female terminal coupling.
For example, if the terminal portions 13 and 14 that contact the terminal portions 31 and 32 of the power supply device 30 are provided on the side surfaces of the connectors 10A and / or 10B, the power supply device 30 can be attached to and detached from the connector 10A (or 10B). (Contact) can be easily performed.

Further, the battery 33 accumulates electric power and supplies power to the connector 10A (or 10B) by turning on the switch unit 34 in a state where the power supply device 30 is connected to the connector 10A (or 10B).
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5, the battery 33 connects the power supply device 30 to, for example, the terminal portion 13 and the terminal portion 14 of the connector 10 </ b> A, and connects the power supply device 30 to the terminal portion 13 of the connector 10 </ b> A. The terminal part 31 of the power supply device 30 is brought into contact with the terminal part 14 of the connector 10A. In this state, a voltage is generated between the terminal unit 31 and the terminal unit 32 by turning on the switch unit 34 of the power supply device 30.

As a result, a current flows to the lamp portion 15 on the connector 10A side through the terminal portions 13 and 14 of the connector 10A and the two core wires 21 and 22, and the lamp portion 15 is turned on. At the same time, a current flows to the lamp portion 15 on the connector 10B side through the terminal portions 13 and 14 of the connector 10A, the two core wires 21 and 22 and the terminal portions 13 and 14 of the connector 10B, and the lamp portion 15 Lights up. In this embodiment, the battery 33 is used as the power source of the power supply device 30, but the shape of the battery is arbitrary, and power may be supplied from an external power source.

As is apparent from the above description, in this embodiment, the terminal portion 31 and the terminal portion 32 of the power supply device 30 are replaced with the terminal portion 13 and the terminal portion 14 of the connector 10A (or 10B) at either end of the cable 20. Connect to. As a result, electric power is supplied to the lamp portions 15 of the connectors 10A and 10B at both ends of the cable 20 via the two core wires 21 and 22 which are spare wires of the cable 20, and the lamp portions 15 are lit. For this reason, irrespective of whether the cable 20 is in operation or not, the correspondence between the connectors 10A and 10B at both ends of the specific cable 20 can be accurately and easily confirmed visually.

In addition, since the lamp portions 15 of the connectors 10A and 10B at both ends of the cable 20 are lit, even if the installation location of the cable 20 is not sufficiently bright, a flashlight or a large installation lamp is not prepared. The confirmation work of the connectors 10A and 10B at both ends of the cable 20 can be performed.

Furthermore, even in a cable with a connector at both ends, where a conventional connector is connected to both ends of the cable 20, when the cable 20 has two or more spare lines, the cable 20 itself is left as it is, This can be dealt with by replacing the connectors with the connectors 10A and 10B of the present invention. Thereby, it is possible to eliminate a large-scale operation such as removing a laid cable and laying a new cable.

Further, since the power supply device 30 is provided with the switch unit 34, the switch unit 34 is turned off when the connectors 10A and 10B at both ends of the cable 20 are confirmed or when the lamp unit 15 does not need to be lit. By operating, the supply of power to the lamp unit 15 can be cut off, so that the life of the battery 33 can be extended.

The configurations of the cable, the connector, the first terminal portion, the second terminal portion, the light emitting portion, the power supply device, the switch means, etc. of the present invention are not limited to those exemplified in the above embodiment. Further, a plurality of lamp portions 15 may be arranged on the connectors 10A and 10B, respectively, and the colors may be changed and lighted in order so that the lighting of the lamps 15 can be recognized more easily.

Further, in the above embodiment, the case where the power supply device 30 is provided with the switch unit 34 for switching between supply and cut-off of power to the lamp units 15 of the connectors 10A and 10B is exemplified. May be provided in the main body 12 of the connectors 10A and 10B.
As is apparent from the above description, the present invention can be realized not only as a cable unit with a connector at both ends but also as a cable with a connector at both ends and a cable connector.

The cable unit with a connector at both ends, the cable with a connector at both ends, and a connector for a cable according to the present invention can be effectively used when laying a cable for a network or the like or managing a network cable.
