Abstract
【解決手段】一般式:(Ca、Eu)m/2(Si)12−(m+n)(Al)m+n(O)n(N)16−nで示されるα型サイアロンであって、Eu含有量が0.1〜0.35at%であり、格子定数aが0.780〜0.790nm、格子定数cが0.560〜0.580nmの範囲にあることを特徴とするα型サイアロンであり、前記のα型サイアロンの粉末からなる蛍光体であり、好ましくは、α型サイアロンを構成する粒子の平均粒径が1μm以上20μm以下であり、更に好ましくは、α型サイアロンを構成する元素以外の不純物が1質量%以下であることを特徴とする前記の蛍光体である。また、前記蛍光体を用いた照明器具。

Description
高温で用いても輝度変化の少ない、また長寿命であるという特徴がある。特に、440〜480nmの可視光を発することのできる青色LEDを発光光源に用いるときには、前記発光光源の光とα型サイアロンからの発光との組み合わせにより白色光を容易に提供でき、いろいろな用途に適用可能である。
Claims (6)
- 一般式:(Ca、Eu)m/2(Si)12−(m+n)(Al)m+n(O)n(N)16−nで示されるα型サイアロンであって、Eu含有量が0.1〜0.35at%であり、格子定数aが0.780〜0.790nm、格子定数cが0.560〜0.580nmの範囲にあることを特徴とするα型サイアロン。
- 請求項1記載のα型サイアロンの粉末からなることを特徴とする蛍光体。
- α型サイアロンを構成する粒子の平均粒径が1μm以上20μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の蛍光体。
- α型サイアロンを構成する元素以外の不純物が1質量%以下であることを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の蛍光体。
- 発光光源と蛍光体から構成される照明器具であって、前記蛍光体として、一般式:(Ca、Eu)m/2(Si)12−(m+n)(Al)m+n(O)n(N)16−nで示されるα型サイアロンであって、Eu含有量が0.1〜0.35at%であり、格子定数aが0.780〜0.790nm、格子定数cが0.560〜0.580nmの範囲にあることを特徴とするα型サイアロンからなる蛍光体を用いていることを特徴とする照明器具。
- 紫外線又は可視光を励起源として照射することを特徴とする請求項5記載の照明器具。
