本発明の整髪用の化粧料は、ポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレングリセリルエーテルを必須成分として含有する。ここで、オキシエチレン基の平均付加モル数は10〜30が好ましく、15〜25が更に好ましい。又、オキシプロピレン基の平均付加モル数は、10〜30が好ましく、15〜25が更に好ましい。加えて、前記オキシエチレン基とオキシプロピレン基の好ましい付加モル数比は、1:2〜2:1が好ましく、2:3〜3:2が更に好ましい。従って分子量としては2000〜3000が好ましい。これらは、この様な性状形態を取ることにより、毛髪の内部まで到達し、毛髪内部の水素結合の変異を元に戻すことが出来るからである。この様なポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレングリセリルエーテルは既に市販されているものが存在し、本発明では、この様な市販品を利用することも出来る。好ましい市販品としては旭電化株式会社製のアデカカーポールGH200(ポリオキシエチレン(24)ポリオキシプロピレン(24)グリセリルエーテル)が例示できる。本発明の整髪用の化粧料に於いて、かかるポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレングリセリルエーテルは唯一種を含有することも出来るし、二種以上組み合わせて含有することも出来る。本発明の整髪用の化粧料に於ける、ポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレングリセリルエーテルの好ましい含有量は、総量で、化粧料全量に対して、0.05〜10重量%であり、更に好ましくは0.1〜2重量%である。これは少なすぎると補正効果が得られない場合があり、多すぎるとベタ付くなどの使用感の面で好ましくない特性が出る場合があるからである。

化粧料1と、化粧料1の内容物を通常のガラス瓶に充填して作成した化粧料12とを使用テストにより比較した。パネラーは寝癖がつきやすいパネラー8名を募集で集め、化粧料1と化粧料12を渡し、寝癖直し効果を比較してもらった。寝癖直し効果は、スコア4:寝癖が解消された、スコア3:寝癖が気にならない程度に解消された、スコア2:寝癖がやや解消された、スコア1:寝癖が直らないの基準で評価してもらった。結果を表4に示す。これより、本発明の化粧料は寝癖直し効果に優れること、及び、本発明の化粧料としては噴霧形態であることが好ましいことがわかる。
