Claims (14)
- 無線送信機(16)であって、
第1の周波数の信号を生成するための周波数発生器(30)と、
前記第1の周波数を分割して、第2の周波数の信号を生成するためのデジタル分割回路(32)と、
前記第2の周波数の信号を増幅し、所望の電力を有する出力信号を生成するための電力増幅器(34)とを備え、
前記所望の電力に基づいて、前記デジタル分割回路(32)の雑音特性を調整するように適合された制御回路(36)を更に備えることを特徴とする無線送信機。 - 制御回路(36)は、前記所望の電力が増加した場合に、前記デジタル分割回路(32)の前記雑音特性を改善するように適合されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線送信機(16)。
- 前記制御回路(36)は、前記デジタル分割回路(32)を、第1の所望の電力では第1の雑音特性で、第2の所望の電力では第2の雑音特性で動作させるように適合されており、
前記第1の所望の電圧が前記第2の所望の電圧より高い場合には、前記第1の雑音特性は前記第2の雑音特性よりも良好であり、前記第1の所望の電圧が前記第2の所望の電圧より低い場合には、前記第1の雑音特性は前記第2の雑音特性より劣ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線送信機(16)。 - 前記無線送信機(16)はGSMシステムにおいて用いられるものであり、前記デジタル分割回路(32)の前記雑音特性Ntは、前記電力増幅器(34)の利得Gpaに基づいて、Gpaの値が全て、Nt+Gpa<−79dBmとなるように調整されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の無線送信機(16)。
- 前記デジタル分割回路(32)はデジタル分割器を含み、前記制御回路(36)は該デジタル分割器のバイアス電流を制御する手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線送信機。
- 前記デジタル分割回路(32)は複数のデジタル分割器(40、42)を備え、前記制御回路(36)は、前記複数のデジタル分割器(40,42)のいずれかを選択して動作させるための手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線送信機。
- 請求項1に記載の無線送信機(16)を備えることを特徴とする移動体無線通信装置。
- 移動体電話機の形態をとることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の移動体無線通信装置。
- 無線送信機(16)の動作方法であって、前記無線送信機(16)は、
第1の周波数の信号を生成するための周波数発生器(30)と、
前記第1の周波数を分割して、第2の周波数の信号を生成するためのデジタル分割回路(32)と、
前記第2の周波数の信号を増幅し、所望の電力を有する出力信号を生成するための電力増幅器(34)とを備え、
前記方法は、前記所望の電力に基づいて、前記デジタル分割回路(32)の雑音特性を調整する調整工程を備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記調整工程(64)は、前記所望の電力が増加した場合に、前記デジタル分割回路(32)の前記雑音特性を改善する工程を備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記デジタル分割回路を、第1の所望の電力では第1の雑音特性で、第2の所望の電力では第2の雑音特性で動作させる工程を更に備え、
前記第1の所望の電圧が前記第2の所望の電圧より高い場合には、前記第1の雑音特性は前記第2の雑音特性よりも良好であり、前記第1の所望の電圧が前記第2の所望の電圧より低い場合には、前記第1の雑音特性は前記第2の雑音特性より劣ることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記無線送信機(16)はGSMシステムにおいて用いられるものであり、前記デジタル分割回路(32)の前記雑音特性Ntは、前記電力増幅器(34)の利得Gpaに基づいて、Gpaの値が全て、Nt+Gpa<−79dBmとなるように調整されることを特徴とする請求項9乃至11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記デジタル分割回路(32)はデジタル分割器を含み、
前記方法は、該デジタル分割器のバイアス電流を制御する工程(64)を備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記デジタル分割回路(32)は複数のデジタル分割器(40、42)を備え、
前記方法は、前記複数のデジタル分割器(40,42)のいずれかを動作のために選択する工程を備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の無線送信機。
