Abstract

According to a conventional film antenna, a conductor mesh constituting an antenna element is conspicuous, or the presence of the film antenna itself is conspicuous. There was a problem of taking away and blocking the field of view.
In addition, the presence of the film antenna itself is conspicuous, and there is a problem that the aesthetics of the car itself is impaired.

An antenna element composed of thin vertical and horizontal conductors is configured such that the distance between the vertical conductors gradually increases at the left end and the distance between the horizontal conductors gradually increases at the lower end. is doing. In this way, by gradually increasing the distance between the conductors in the vicinity of the outline of the net-like conductor constituting the antenna element, the density of the conductors is naturally reduced, so that the conductors can be made inconspicuous.

In order to solve the above problems, the invention of claim 1 is composed of a resin film and a mesh-like conductor having a non-uniform mesh density.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, a resin film processed so that a cross section of the outer periphery becomes thicker toward the center and a net-like conductor having a non-uniform mesh density.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the film antenna is constituted by the resin film and the mesh-like conductor whose mesh density is not uniform, the boundary between the portion where the mesh-like conductor is arranged and the portion where the mesh-like conductor is not arranged is inconspicuous. can do.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the resin film and the net-like conductor whose density in the vicinity of the outline of the net-like conductor is coarser than other portions are constituted, the film net-like conductor that is particularly conspicuous is formed. In the vicinity of the contour, the boundary between the portion where the net-like conductor is arranged and the portion where the mesh-like conductor is not arranged can be made inconspicuous.

According to the invention of claim 3, since the outer peripheral cross section is constituted by the resin film processed so as to become thicker toward the center and the net-like conductor having a non-uniform mesh density, It is possible to provide a film antenna in which the border is not noticeable and the presence of the film antenna itself is not noticed.

Hereinafter, an example of an embodiment embodying the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
1, 2, 3, and 4 show a film antenna 1 according to the present invention, FIG. 1 is an external view of the film antenna 1, and FIGS. 2 and 3 are enlarged views near the outline of a net-like conductor. FIG. 2 shows an enlarged cross-sectional view near the outer periphery of the film antenna 1. In this manner, the end face 7 on the outer periphery of the film antenna 1 is processed obliquely, thereby making the presence of the film antenna 1 less noticeable.

As shown in FIG. 1, the film antenna 1 is composed of a resin film of a base material (portion constituting a base) 2 and a conductor 6 formed in a mesh shape. As the resin film, transparent or light-transmitting polyester, polyethylene, acrylic, vinyl chloride, PET, ABS, polypropylene or the like is used in order to ensure visibility. The thickness of the resin film is 50 to 250 microns. The antenna element 3 is formed of a metal foil such as copper or aluminum having a thickness of 10 microns adhered to the resin film of the substrate 2 in a mesh shape by etching or the like. The line width of the mesh is 10 microns, and the distance between the lines is 10 microns to 5 millimeters.
The antenna element 3 made of a conductor 6 formed in a mesh shape constitutes a folded dipole antenna, and is connected to a receiving device via a feeder unit 4 by a feeder line 5 such as a coaxial cable or a feeder line. A protective film 8 made of the same material as that of the substrate 2 is provided on the antenna element 3 in order to protect the antenna element 3. The protective film 8 has a thickness of 50 to 250 microns, and is fixed to the resin film of the substrate 2 and the mesh-like conductor 6 by an adhesive 9 or a method such as thermocompression bonding. In addition, since the protective film 8 is used as needed, you may use it in the state which does not exist. Further, instead of the protective film 8, it may be coated with a transparent resin paint or the like.

The film antenna 1 is bonded to a glass surface of an automobile or the like by an adhesive applied to the resin film of the base 2. You may color in the resin film of the base material 2, the protective film 8, and the resin coating material.
As shown in the enlarged view in the vicinity of the outline of the net-like conductor 6 shown in FIG. 2, the antenna element 3 composed of the thin conductors 6 in the vertical and horizontal directions gradually increases the distance between the conductors 6 in the vertical direction at the left end. Further, at the lower end, the distance between the conductors 6 in the lateral direction is gradually increased. In this way, by gradually increasing the distance between the conductors 6 in the vicinity of the outline of the net-like conductor constituting the antenna element 3, the density of the conductors 6 is naturally reduced, so that the conductors 6 are made inconspicuous. Can do.
Furthermore, since the area where the base material 2 and the protective film 8 are in direct contact with each other increases in the vicinity of the outer periphery of the film antenna 1, the peeling strength between the base material 2 and the protective film 8 can be increased.

As shown in FIG. 1, the folded dipole antenna formed by the conductor 6 formed in a mesh shape has a wide band by providing a difference in the width of the two horizontal mesh conductors provided on the upper and lower sides. Yes. Note that the widths of the horizontal mesh conductors may be equal. The shape of the antenna element 3 is not limited to the folded dipole antenna, but may be a dipole or other types.
The antenna of the present invention is used in the UHF band, and even if it is configured with such a mesh, the required reception performance can be satisfied as in the case of using a metal foil without a mesh.

In the description so far, the example in which the film antenna 1 is attached to the window glass of the automobile has been shown. However, the film antenna 1 can be used without being attached to the window glass. For example, the base material 2 made of a resin film may be extended to form an attachment piece, and the attachment piece may be fixed to an interior portion such as a dashboard, mirror, ceiling, window frame of an automobile with an adhesive 9 or the like. Further, the mounting piece may be fixed by being inserted into a gap in the interior portion of the automobile. Furthermore, the attachment piece may be provided not only by extending the base material 2 but also by joining other parts to the base material 2. In addition, you may use an auxiliary | assistant fixed piece in order to suppress the fluctuation | variation by vibration as needed. Further, a structural component for correcting the inclination of the antenna may be provided.
Further, the film antenna 1 may be installed outside the vehicle, at home windows and walls, inside and outside the room. Further, it may be used by being attached to an electronic device such as a portable terminal or a computer.
Further, when the received radio wave is weak, an amplifier circuit may be provided in the power feeding unit 4 of the film antenna 1 or an amplifier may be provided in the middle of the power feeding line 5.

FIG. 3 shows an enlarged cross-sectional view of the film antenna 1 in the vicinity of the outer periphery of the film antenna 1. Thus, by processing the end face 7 at an angle, the boundary between the resin film or the protective film 8 that becomes the base material 2 becomes less conspicuous, and the film antenna 1 itself is made inconspicuous. Further, if the film antenna 1 is formed or processed so as to gradually increase in thickness from the outer periphery toward the center, the film antenna 1 can be made less noticeable.

It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and as illustrated below, the shape, dimensions, materials, etc. of each part may be changed as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Is also possible.
For example, the mesh of the conductor 6 forming the antenna element 3 is not limited to a quadrangle, and may be a hexagon or other shapes, or various shapes may be appropriately combined. The mesh shape in FIGS. 2 and 3 is configured in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, but is not limited to this, and a mesh that is inclined 45 degrees as a whole may be used.
Further, the conductor 6 forming the antenna element 3 is not limited to one obtained by etching a metal foil, and a conductive paint may be printed in a mesh shape. Furthermore, you may comprise with the thread | yarn by a metal wire or electroconductive fiber.
The conductor 6 of the antenna element 3 may be made by punching a metal foil by punching.
