Abstract
ハブ輪の剛性を確保しつつ軽量・コンパクト化を図ると共に、加締工程に起因する内輪のフープ応力の発生を抑制し、所望の耐久性を有する車輪用軸受装置を提供する。
【解決手段】
ハブ輪2の小径段部2bに内輪3が圧入され、小径段部2bの端部を塑性変形させて形成した加締部2cによって内輪3が固定された車輪用軸受装置において、小径段部2bにおける内輪3の負荷域となる部位に隔壁11が形成されると共に、この隔壁11からアウトボード側に内径がセレーション下孔径となる中空部13が形成されているので、軽量化が図れ、かつ軸受部の放熱効果を高めることができ、耐久性を一段と向上させることができる。また、駆動輪を支承する装置のハブ輪として使用する場合、この隔壁11を抜く工程のみで済み、鍛造品としてのハブ輪2の共用化ができ低コスト化を図ることができる。

図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウトボード側(図面左側)、中央寄り側をインボード側(図面右側)という。

Claims (6)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、この車輪取付フランジから軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に圧入され、前記複列の外側転走面に対向する内側転走面が形成された少なくとも一つの内輪とからなる内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材の両転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体とを備え、前記小径段部の端部を径方向外方に塑性変形させて形成した加締部により、前記ハブ輪に対して前記内輪が軸方向に固定された車輪用軸受装置において、
前記ハブ輪の小径段部に、前記複列の内側転走面のうち、少なくともインボード側の内側転走面に負荷される荷重の負荷域となる部位に隔壁が形成されると共に、この隔壁からアウトボード側に中空部が形成されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記中空部の内径がセレーション下孔径に設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記内輪のフープ応力が300MPa以下に規制されている請求項1または2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記内輪の表面に防錆皮膜が形成されている請求項1乃至3いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記防錆皮膜が亜鉛ニッケル合金からなるメッキ層である請求項4に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記外方部材と内方部材間に形成される環状空間にシール装置が装着されている請求項1乃至5いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
