Abstract
【解決手段】担体、およびこの担体に担持された貴金属からなる活性成分を含む排ガス浄化用触媒である。担体は、希土類元素およびアルカリ土類元素からなる群の中から選ばれる少なくとも1種の安定化元素を含有する安定化ジルコニアを含み、活性成分は、その総重量の20〜80重量%が安定化ジルコニアとの固溶体の形態で担体中に担持され、残りの80〜20重量%が担体表面上に担持されている。

Description
本実施例では、安定化ジルコニア担体に対し、合計0.5重量%のロジウムが担持された触媒を調製した。
実施例1(B)において合計ロジウム担持量の1/4に相当する割合でロジウムを含有する硝酸ロジウムを含有する水溶液を用い、実施例1(C)において合計ロジウム担持量の3/4に相当する割合でロジウムを含有する硝酸ロジウムを含有する水溶液を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、所望の触媒を得た。この触媒において、全ロジウムの25重量%が安定化ジルコニアに固溶され、残りの75重量%が安定化ジルコニア担体粉末表面に担持されていた。
実施例1(B)において合計ロジウム担持量の2/3に相当する割合でロジウムを含有する硝酸ロジウムを含有する水溶液を用い、実施例1(C)において合計ロジウム担持量の1/3に相当する割合でロジウムを含有する硝酸ロジウムを含有する水溶液を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、所望の触媒を得た。この触媒において、全ロジウムの64重量%が安定化ジルコニアに固溶され、残りの36重量%が安定化ジルコニア担体粉末表面に担持されていた。
本実施例では、安定化ジルコニア担体に対し、合計0.5重量%の貴金属(ロジウム0.4%、白金0.1%)が担持された触媒を調製した。すなわち、実施例1(A)および(B)と同様の手順を繰り返した後、得られたロジウム固溶安定化ジルコニア担体粉末をロジウム担持量の1/2に相当する割合で硝酸ロジウムを含有し、かつジニトロジアンミン白金酸塩を含有する水溶液に入れ、硝酸ロジウムとジニトロジアンミン白金酸塩を吸着担持させた。得られた粉末を110℃で12時間乾燥した後、大気中、250℃で1時間焼成した後、実施例1(D)と同様にしてペレット触媒を得た。
硝酸ロジウムの代わりに硝酸パラジウムを用いた以外は実施例1の手順を繰り返してペレット状触媒を得た。
実施例1(A)で得たランタン安定化ジルコニア担体粉末50gを50mLのイオン交換水中で10分間超音波攪拌し、分散させた。この分散液に、ロジウム全担持量に相当するロジウムを含有する硝酸ロジウムを含有する水溶液を一度に投入し、安定化ジルコニア担体粉末表面に硝酸ロジウムを吸着担持させ、吸引ろ過した。得られたロジウム担持安定化ジルコニア担体粉末を110℃で12時間乾燥した後、大気中、250℃で2時間焼成し、ロジウムを担体粉末表面に担持させ、整粒してペレット状触媒を得た。
固溶化処理を行わなかった以外は実施例5の手順を繰り返してペレット状触媒を得た。
触媒試料を常圧固定床流通反応装置に充填し、ストイキ相当のモデルガスを流通させながら、触媒試料を100℃から500℃まで12℃/分の昇温速度で加熱し、その間のNOx浄化率を連続的に測定する。そして、NOxが50%除去されたときの温度(NOx50%浄化温度)を浄化率の指標として記録する。
触媒活性評価用試料として、実施例1〜5および比較例1〜2で得たままの触媒をそれぞれ上記触媒活性評価試験に供した。
実施例1〜5および比較例1〜2で得た触媒をそれぞれ流通式のエージング装置に充填し、酸素を5体積%の割合で含有する窒素ガスからなるモデルリーンガスと、一酸化炭素を10体積%の割合で含有するモデルリッチガスを、触媒床温度1000℃で、それぞれ、1000mL/分の流量で、5分間ずつ交互に30時間連続して流した後、触媒を取り出し、それぞれ上記触媒活性評価試験に供した。実施例1および比較例1の触媒についてこのエージング後のSEM写真をそれぞれ図1および図2に示す。実施例1の触媒では、担体から担体表面に析出したロジウム粒子は、粒径がほぼ1nmであるのに対し、比較例1の触媒では、ロジウム粒子は数十nmまで成長していることがわかる。
本実施例では、安定化ジルコニア担体に対し、合計0.5重量%のロジウムが担持された触媒を以下のように調製した。

Claims (11)
- 担体、および前記担体に担持された貴金属からなる活性成分を含み、
前記担体は、希土類元素およびアルカリ土類元素からなる群の中から選ばれる少なくとも1種の安定化元素を含有する安定化ジルコニアを含み、
前記活性成分は、その総重量の20〜80重量%が前記安定化ジルコニアとの固溶体の形態で前記担体中に担持され、残りの80〜20重量%が前記担体表面上に担持されていることを特徴とする排ガス浄化用触媒。 - 前記貴金属が、ロジウム、パラジウム、ロジウムと白金との合金、またはパラジウムと白金との合金からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記安定化ジルコニアが、前記安定化ジルコニアに含まれるジルコニウムに対し、0.1〜20原子%の割合で前記安定化元素を含有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記担体が、希土類元素およびアルカリ土類元素からなる群の中から選ばれる少なくとも1種の安定化元素を含有する第2の安定化ジルコニアであって、前記活性成分を固溶していない第2の安定化ジルコニアを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記第2の安定化ジルコニアが、前記活性成分を担持していないことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記第2の安定化ジルコニアが、表面に前記活性成分を担持することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記担体が、アルミナ、セリア、シリカ、チタニア、ゼオライトおよびそれらの混合物からなる群の中から選ばれる少なくとも1種の非ジルコニア系担体を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記非ジルコニア系担体が、前記活性成分を担持していないことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記非ジルコニア系担体が、表面に前記活性成分を担持することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 希土類元素およびアルカリ土類元素からなる群の中から選ばれる少なくとも1種の安定化元素を含有する安定化ジルコニアを含む担体上に貴金属からなる触媒活性成分を担持させることを包含し、
前記貴金属の総重量の20〜80重量%を前記安定化ジルコニアに固溶させ、および前記貴金属の総重量の残りの80〜20重量%を前記担体の表面上に担持させることを特徴とする排ガス浄化用触媒の製造方法。 - 前記固溶を600℃〜1000℃の温度で行うことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒の製造方法。
