周波数応答の改善された顔料系インク組成物を提供する。
【解決手段】
黒色のインクジェット画像を高速印刷するための組成物、システム及び方法を提供する。当該組成物は、水と、15wt%〜30wt%の有機溶媒とを含んで成る液体ビヒクルを含有し、ここで、前記有機溶媒の3wt%〜10wt%はメチル化ペンタントリオール共溶媒である。当該組成物はまた、1wt%〜6wt%の分散剤官能化ブラックカーボン顔料を含有する。インクジェット機器が非常に高速度で射出可能なペンを備えていれば、当該組成物を用いることによって、15kHz〜25kHzの射出周波数を達成可能である。

Description
自己分散性ブラック顔料は、分散剤で官能化されたカーボン顔料とし得る。当該分散剤は、典型的に、前駆体の形態で調製し、次いで、当該前駆体を顔料に結合させることで、顔料表面を化学的に修飾し得る。一実施形態では、例えば、パラ−アミノ安息香酸などの種々のアミノ前駆体物質、イソフタル酸、三価酸、及びそれらの異性体などを用いて、当該分散剤をカーボンブラックに結合させることができる。当業者に周知のように、その他の前駆体を用いてカーボンブラックに付着させることもできる。
本発明のインクジェットインク組成物は、典型的に、水、共溶媒、界面活性剤、緩衝剤、殺生物剤、金属イオン封鎖剤、粘度修正剤、湿潤剤、バインダー、及び/又はその他の既知の添加剤から構成し得る水性調合物又は液体ビヒクルを用いて調製される。典型的に、本発明のインクジェットインク組成物は、約0.8cps〜約15cpsの粘度を有し、一実施形態では、約0.8cps〜約8cpsの粘度を有し得る。本発明の一態様では、液体ビヒクルは、インクジェットインク組成物の約70wt%〜約99wt%を構成することができる。

- a)15wt%〜30wt%の有機溶媒を含む液体ビヒクルであって、前記有機溶媒の3wt%〜10wt%が3−メチル−1,3,5−ペンタントリオールである、液体ビヒクルと、
b)1wt%〜6wt%の分散剤官能化ブラックカーボン顔料と、
を含んで成るインクジェットインク組成物であって、15kHz〜25kHzの射出周波数にて噴射できるよう構成されている、インクジェットインク組成物。 - さらに、0.1wt%〜4wt%のアンモニウム塩を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。

- 前記分散剤官能化カーボン顔料が、パラ−アミノ安息香酸、イソフタル酸、及び三価酸から成る群から選択される分散剤前駆体を用いて形成される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 基材上に画像を印刷するシステムであって、
a)請求項1〜6の何れか1項に記載のブラックインクジェットインクと、
b)前記ブラックインクジェットインクが充填される印刷ヘッドであって、前記ブラックインクジェットインクを15kHz〜25kHzの射出周波数にて噴射できるよう構成されている印刷ヘッドと、
を具備する、システム。 - 前記射出周波数が、18kHz〜25kHzである、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 黒色のインクジェット画像を高速印刷する方法であって、
請求項1〜6の何れか1項に記載のブラックインクジェットインクを15kHz〜25kHzの射出周波数にて媒体基材上にインクジェットするステップを包含する、方法。 - 前記射出周波数が、18kHz〜25kHzである、請求項9に記載の方法。
