照明装置には、天井板の上側に設けられるいわゆる埋め込み型のものがある。埋め込み型の照明装置には、天井スラブから吊り具により吊り下げて保持された支持部材に天井板を支持して設け、この天井板に開口を形成して設け、この開口を覆うように天井板の上側に下向きに開口する箱体を支持部材に取付けて設け、この箱体内に開口から光りを照射する照明器具を内蔵しているものがある。
