Abstract
【課題】 燃料の着火時期を適切に制御できる予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関を提供する。
【解決手段】 燃料と吸入空気とを予め混合し、その混合気を圧縮自己着火させる予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関であって、エンジンの運転状態などに基づいて、目標とする着火時期θを決定する目標着火時期決定手段42と、混合気が着火するのに必要な目標圧縮比εtを決定する目標圧縮比決定手段41と、上記目標着火時期θでの有効圧縮比が上記目標圧縮比εtとなるように、吸気弁7を開閉制御する制御手段26とを備えたものである。

Claims (5)
- 燃料と吸入空気とを予め混合し、その混合気を圧縮自己着火させる予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関であって、
エンジンの運転状態などに基づいて、目標とする着火時期を決定する目標着火時期決定手段と、
混合気が着火するのに必要な目標圧縮比を決定する目標圧縮比決定手段と、
上記目標着火時期での有効圧縮比が上記目標圧縮比となるように、吸気弁を開閉制御する制御手段とを備えたことを特徴とする予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関。 - 上記吸気弁の開閉時期を調節する可変バルブタイミング機構と、上記目標着火時期におけるシリンダ内容積を決定する容積決定手段と、少なくとも上記目標圧縮比と、上記目標着火時期におけるシリンダ内容積とに基づいて、圧縮開始から上記目標着火時期までの圧縮比が上記目標圧縮比となるような吸気弁の開閉時期を決定する吸気弁開閉時期決定手段とを備え、
上記制御手段は、上記吸気弁開閉時期決定手段が決定した開閉時期に従って上記可変バルブタイミング機構を制御する請求項1記載の予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関。 - 排気ガスの一部を燃焼室内に還流するEGR装置と、吸入空気量を検出する吸入空気量検出手段と、シリンダ内に導入される吸入ガスの温度を検出する吸入ガス温度検出手段と、少なくともEGR率又はEGR量と吸入空気量と吸入ガス温度とに基づいて、吸入ガスの比熱比を決定する比熱比決定手段とを備え、
上記目標圧縮比決定手段は、少なくとも上記比熱比決定手段が決定した比熱比と、燃料の着火温度とに基づいて、上記目標圧縮比を決定する請求項1又は2記載の予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関。 - 混合気の実際の着火時期を検出する着火時期検出手段を備え、
上記着火時期検出手段により検出した実際の着火時期に基づいて、上記吸気弁の開閉時期を補正する請求項1〜3いずれかに記載の予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関。 - 上記吸気弁開閉時期決定手段は、吸気弁の閉弁時期を定めるものであり、それによって機関の有効圧縮比を上記目標圧縮比に一致させる請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の予混合圧縮自己着火式内燃機関。
