こうして得られた防虫剤入りの防虫剤用容器1を倉庫で1年間保存したところ、当初エムペントリン含浸量を保持し、揮散によるロスや容器への吸着によるロスは全く認められなかった。また、店頭では蓋体2の上面を正面にして縦置きも可能で陳列のバリエーションが増えた。使用時にフィルムバンド8をはずした後、蓋体2を開けて防虫剤4の数個を取り出し、残りは蓋体2を閉めてそのまま保存できた。すなわち、従来のアルミニウム袋包装のように、一旦破袋後、密封性の確保が難しくなることはなかった。

こうして得られた防虫剤入りの防虫剤用容器は、長期保存中、マット状担体ならびにインジケーター用マットのいずれにおいても防虫成分のロスは全く認められなかった。この防虫剤用容器から防虫剤を取り出し、容積800Lのタンスの中に2個吊るして使用したところ、収納衣類は約1年間にわたり衣料害虫の食害を受けなかった。また、使用開始時におけるインジケーター用マット中の防虫成分量は当初仕込み値を保持し、この結果インジケーター機能は正確で、終点を示す退色が早まることはなかった。
