Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an ink jet recording sheet, and more particularly to an ink jet recording sheet having transparency or gloss.
An object of the present invention is to provide an inkjet recording sheet that is transparent or glossy, particularly excellent in water-absorbent pigment ink absorbability, drying properties, and color developability, and has good water resistance. There is.
In order to achieve the object, the present invention comprises two types of aqueous urethane resin and aqueous acrylic resin, and contains a water-soluble polymer having an oxazoline group and an acrylic water-soluble self-emulsifying epoxy curing agent as a crosslinking agent. It is a feature.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention can provide an ink jet recording sheet that is transparent or glossy, and that is particularly excellent in water pigment ink absorbability, drying properties, and color developability, and has good water resistance. .
As a result of intensive studies, the inventor of the present invention, in an inkjet recording sheet that forms an image using an aqueous pigment ink, the image receiving layer of the recording sheet is composed of two types, an aqueous urethane resin and an aqueous acrylic resin, and oxazoline as a crosslinking agent. An ink-jet recording sheet comprising a water-soluble polymer having a group and an acrylic water-soluble self-emulsifying epoxy curing agent has been provided.
Examples of the urethane resin include polyesters and polyethers. Cationic polyether urethane resins are preferred, but other urethane resins may be used as necessary.
The acrylic resin may be an acrylic polymer resin such as a polymer or copolymer of acrylic acid ester and methacrylic acid ester, or ethylene such as ethylene-vinyl acetate, ethylene-acrylic-vinyl acetate, ethylene-vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate. -Vinyl acetate copolymer resin, acrylic-styrene copolymer resin, etc. can be illustrated. Cationic acrylic / styrene copolymer resins are preferred, but other acrylic resins may be used if necessary.
The weight ratio of the urethane resin and the acrylic resin in the solid content of the image receiving layer is preferably 65 to 85% for the urethane resin and 15 to 35% for the acrylic resin. Furthermore, it is preferable that the urethane resin is 70 to 80% and the acrylic resin is 20 to 30%. If the urethane resin is less than 65%, the ink absorbency is insufficient, and if it exceeds 85%, the water resistance is deteriorated. When the acrylic resin is less than 15%, the adhesion to the substrate is poor and the water resistance is insufficient. When the acrylic resin is greater than 35%, the ink absorbability and the drying property are insufficient and the printed image is blurred.
The water-soluble polymer having an oxazoline group contained in the solid content of the image-receiving layer is preferably 0.3 to 2.0%. Furthermore, 0.5 to 1.5% is preferable. If the water-soluble polymer having an oxazoline group contained in the solid content of the image-receiving layer is less than 0.5%, sufficient water resistance cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 1.5%, ink absorbency and drying properties are lowered. . The acrylic water-soluble self-emulsifying type epoxy curing agent is preferably 2.0 to 3.7%. Furthermore, 2.5 to 3.5% is preferable. If the acrylic water-soluble self-emulsifying type epoxy curing agent is less than 2.5%, sufficient water resistance cannot be obtained, and the fixing ability of the ink also decreases. On the other hand, if it exceeds 3.5%, the ink absorbability is lowered.
Examples of the base material include synthetic resin films such as polyester, polyolefin, and polyvinyl chloride, and paper such as synthetic paper. Further, the coating property of the ink image-receiving layer can be improved by surface treatment such as corona discharge treatment. The thickness of the substrate is preferably in the range of 25 to 400 [mu] m, and is preferably 50 to 300 [mu] m in consideration of the mountability to the printer and handling. If the thickness of the substrate is less than 25 μm, handling and printer mounting properties are not good, and paper may not be fed normally, such as wrinkles when the recording material mounted on the printer is fed. If the substrate exceeds 400 μm, it may be difficult to mount the printer on the printer or the paper may not be fed normally.
The thickness of the ink image-receiving layer is preferably 5 to 50 μm, more preferably 10 to 30 μm, but is not limited thereto. The ink jet recording sheet obtained as described above can be provided with an adhesive layer as required.
