Abstract

【課題】操作表示機器が備えるコンテンツの機能毎に分けられたカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を、簡単に呼びだすことができる操作表示機器を提供する。
【解決手段】コンテンツ画面などを表示する表示手段１５と、予めコンテンツの機能毎に分類されたカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を記憶するメインメニュー画面記憶手段１４と、メインメニュー画面を呼びだすためのメインメニュー画面切替え手段１３と、表示手段１５に表示する表示内容を決定する、表示情報制御手段１６を有し、操作表示装置１１は、カテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面と、メインメニュー画面切替え手段１３を、各々のカテゴリー毎に備えている。これによって、利用者が目的のカテゴリーのメインメニュー画面を容易に選択することができるので、利用者が、カテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を呼び出すための操作性が向上する。

【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、複数のコンテンツを機能毎に分類した、カテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を呼びだす機能を備える操作表示機器に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近年、携帯電話やＰＤＡに代表される情報端末機器が急速に普及し、またその性能は益々高性能化している。また、インターネットの急速な普及とそれに伴う情報通信インフラの整備が急速に進み、利用者は多量の情報を入手することができるようになった。このとき利用者の情報受信の手段として用いられるものは、携帯電話、パーソナルコンピュータ、ＰＤＡなどが代表的なものである。この他にも、家庭内の複数の電化製品を集中制御することが可能なマンション情報端末機器、または電化製品の制御機能を備える家庭内情報端末機器が実用化されている。

このように、様々な形態の情報端末機器やリモコンが実用化されているが、１台で複数の機能やコンテンツを備えるもがあり、利用者が情報端末機器に設けられている入力装置または、情報端末機器に接続した入力装置を用いて、画面を切換えながら操作するのが一般的である。

例えば、携帯電話などでは、１つのメインメニュー画面からアイコンを選択し、次にサブメインメニューが表示され、再びアイコンを選択し、最後に利用者の利用したいコンテンツ画面が表示されるというように、メインメニュー画面からの画面遷移がツリー状に構成されている方法が一般的である。また、情報端末機器が持つ機能やコンテンツの数が増えるほど、利用者は画面が見にくかったり、目的の機能やコンテンツを操作するための画面を表示するまでの操作回数が増えたり、複雑になる。

上述したような問題点を解決するために、従来、タッチパネル式ディスプレイを分割して表示された所望のコンテンツの動画を瞬時に全画面表示に切替える動画表示方法が考えられている（例えば、特許文献１参照）。

図１０は前記公報に記載されたタッチパネル式ディスプレイにおける画面構成の例であり、分割画面を９とした分割表示画面を示す図である。タッチパネル式ディスプレイ上に、情報の提供者側が予め用意した複数本のコンテンツ（動画）を同時に画面上に分割表示しておき、情報を受ける側の利用者が目的のコンテンツ（動画）をタッチすることにより、当該分割画面に表示されていたコンテンツ（動画）を全画面サイズの表示に切替えることを特徴とするようなものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述したように前記従来の構成では、パソコンのモニターやテレビや公共の場で用いられる案内板などように、画面の大きい表示装置の場合は、表示領域が大きく、コンテンツ画面を分割して表示し、利用者が選択するという方法は有効であったが、表示領域の小さい装置になるほど、コンテンツ画面を画面上に表示することは難しくなり、画面中の文字や絵などを利用者がきちんと認識でき、作業に支障がない画面構成とするには、画面の大きさや表示領域の面積が大きいものに限定されるという課題があった。

また、携帯電話に代表される情報端末機器などのように、コンテンツを選択する際、常にまず所定のメインメニューから選択するという方法では、利用者が他のコンテンツを利用したい場合、常に一度メインメニューに戻ってから、目的のコンテンツまで再度たどらなければならず、作業に慣れていない利用者にとっては、使い勝手が悪いという課題があった。

また、情報端末機器が持つ機能やコンテンツの数が増えるほど、利用者は画面が見にくかったり、目的の機能やコンテンツを操作するための画面を表示するまでの操作回数が増えたり、複雑になったりして、１つのメインメニュー画面から目的のコンテンツを起動させることは、パソコンや携帯電話を普段使用していない利用者にとっては、難しいという先入観があり分かりにくいという課題があった。

本発明は、上記従来の課題を解決するもので、コンテンツの機能毎に分類されたカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を呼びだす、メインメニュー画面切替え手段により、表示するカテゴリーのメインメニューを決定し、表示手段に表示する、操作表示機器を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記従来の課題を解決するために、本発明の操作表示機器は、コンテンツ画面などを表示する表示手段と、予めコンテンツの機能毎に分類されたカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を記憶するメインメニュー画面記憶手段と、前記メインメニュー画面を呼びだすためのメインメニュー画面切替え手段と、入力された制御情報、設定情報などを演算処理する情報処理手段と、前記表示手段に表示する表示内容を決定する、表示情報制御手段を有し、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段の情報に応じて、利用者が閲覧したいコンテンツのカテゴリーを判別し、カテゴリーのメインメニュー画面を表示するものである。

これによって本発明は、操作表示機器は、提供する複数のコンテンツを機能毎に分類したカテゴリー毎にメインメニュー画面が準備されており、また、カテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を切替えるメインメニュー画面切替え手段を備え、利用者はメインメニュー画面切替え手段により、目的のカテゴリーのメインメニューをダイレクトに呼びだすことができ、利用者が目的のコンテンツを呼びだすための使い勝手が良くなるものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
コンテンツ画面などを表示する表示手段と、予めコンテンツの機能毎に分類されたカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を記憶するメインメニュー画面記憶手段と、前記メインメニュー画面を呼びだすためのメインメニュー画面切替え手段と、入力された制御情報、設定情報などを演算処理する情報処理手段と、前記表示手段に表示する表示内容を決定する、表示情報制御手段を有し、前記表示手段に表示するメインメニュー画面はカテゴリー毎に存在し、利用者が前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を操作すると、前記表示情報制御手段は、前記表示手段に表示するメインメニュー画面を決定し、前記メインメニュー画面記憶手段からメインメニュー画面を呼び出して、前記表示手段に表示することを特徴とする、操作表示機器であり、上記構成、動作によると、前記操作表示装置は、前記操作表示装置が備えるコンテンツの機能によって分類された、カテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を備えており、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を備えることで、利用者が目的のカテゴリーのメインメニュー画面を容易に選択することができ、利用者は機能毎に分かれたメインメニュー画面からコンテンツを選択していくことで、目的のコンテンツを呼びだすための使い勝手が良くなる。

請求項２に記載の発明は、請求項１に記載の発明に加えて、メインメニュー画面切替え手段は、メインメニュー画面毎に備えられていることを特徴とするものであり、上記構成、動作によると、カテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を呼びだすための、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を、カテゴリーの数と同じ数だけ設けて、各々のメインメニュー画面切替え手段と、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を操作し呼びだされるカテゴリー毎のメインメニューの種類とを１対１で対応させることで、利用者は、どのコンテンツを利用していても、一度の操作で目的のカテゴリーのメインメニュー画面を呼びだすことができ、次のコンテンツを呼びだすためにカテゴリー毎のメイン画面へ戻る操作が分かりやすい。

請求項３に記載の発明は、請求項１または２のいずれかに記載の発明に加えて、メインメニュー画面切替え手段は、カテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を呼びだす単一の機能のみを備えることを特徴とするものであり、上記構成、動作によると、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段の機能を、メインメニュー画面を呼びだす（切替える）、機能のみとすることで、例えば、利用者が階層の深いところにあるコンテンツを利用している場合でも、メインメニュー画面切替え手段を操作さえすれば、カテゴリー毎のメイン画面を呼びだしたり、戻ったりすることができ、再びメインメニュー画面を呼びだすことが容易であるので、次のコンテンツを呼びだすためにカテゴリー毎のメイン画面へ戻る操作が分かりやすい。

請求項４に記載の発明は、請求項１から３のいずれかに記載の発明に加えて、表示手段は、タッチパネル式ディスプレイであり、メインメニュー画面切替え手段は、前記表示手段の外部に設けることを特徴とするものであり、上記構成、動作によると、操作表示機器の前記表示手段がタッチパネル式ディスプレイである場合、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を、表示手段を兼ねるタッチパネル式ディスプレイ上に設けずに、ディスプレイの外部に、例えば、ボタンやスイッチなどのように機構的構成によるメインメニュー画面切替え手段として設けることで、比較的小さい表示手段を備える操作表示機器のような場合でも、表示手段に表示するメインメニューやコンテンツ画面の表示領域を小さくすることなく、利用者が容易にカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を切替ることができる操作表示機器を実現することができる。

請求項５に記載の発明は、請求項４に記載の発明に加えて、利用者が操作表示機器を操作するための入力手段を備え、画面切替え手段の形状は、前記入力手段の形状と異なることを特徴とするものであり、上記構成、動作によると、操作表示機器に操作表示機器を操作するための入力手段であるスイッチやボタンが備えられており、また、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段が、同様にスイッチやボタンとして設けられている場合、前記入力手段と前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段の形状を異なった形状とすることで、利用者がメインメニュー画面切替え手段とその他の入力手段を容易に区別することができるので、初めて操作表示機器を使用するような場合でも、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段が操作しやすい。

請求項６に記載の発明は、請求項４または５のいずれかに記載の発明に加えて、利用者が操作表示機器を操作するための入力手段を備え、画面切替え手段の色は、前記入力手段の色と異なることを特徴とするものであり、上記構成、動作によると、前記請求項５の構成と同様に、操作表示機器に操作表示機器を操作するための入力手段であるスイッチやボタンが備えられており、また、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段が、同様にスイッチやボタンとして設けられている場合、前記入力手段と前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段の形状を異なった色とすることで、利用者がメインメニュー画面切替え手段とその他の入力手段を容易に区別することができるので、初めて操作表示機器を使用するような場合でも、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段が操作しやすい。

請求項７に記載の発明は、請求項１から３のいずれかに記載の発明に加えて、表示手段は、タッチパネル式ディスプレイであり、表示手段の入力または表示領域は、メインメニュー画面を呼び出すためのメインメニュー画面切替え手段としての機能を備える第１の領域と、メインメニュー画面やコンテンツ画面を表示する第２の領域に分けることを特徴とするものであり、上記構成、動作によると、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を、表示手段を兼ねるタッチパネル式ディスプレイ上に設ける場合、コンテンツ画面やメインメニュー画面を表示する領域と、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を表示する領域を常に分けて、メインメニュー画面切替え手段の位置が常に変わらないように利用者に表示させることで、前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段を、表示手段を兼ねるタッチパネル式ディスプレイ上に設けるような場合でも、利用者がメインメニュー画面に切替えを簡単に行うことができる。

本発明の実施例１について、図１から図４を用いて説明する。まず、実施例１の構成について、図１を用いて説明する。図１は、本発明の実施例１における操作表示機器のブロック図を示すものである。

本実施例では、前記操作表示機器１１は、複数のコンテンツを備えており、予めコンテンツの機能毎にカテゴリー分けされている。ここでは、利用者のスケジュール情報や録音メッセージ機能、利用者が設定した時刻や、指定時間後にアラームを鳴らすことができるアラーム機能などでまとめられているカテゴリー（アクセサリー）、幾つかのゲームをまとめたカテゴリー（ゲーム）、前記操作表示機器１１の操作音量や、画面の明暗の設定、時刻設定などの各種設定を行う機能をまとめたカテゴリー（設定）の、３つのカテゴリーに分けられているものとする。

次に、図２は本発明の実施例１における操作表示機器１１の外観の例である。１３−ａ、１３−ｂ、１３−ｃはそれぞれ、アクセサリー、ゲーム、設定の各々のカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を呼びだすためのメインメニュー画面切替え手段である。前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段１３には、各々カテゴリー名が表記されており、利用者が目的のカテゴリーの前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段１３を操作すると、各々のメインメニュー画面を呼びだすことができる。

実施例２は、実施例１に加えて、操作表示機器１１が、実施例１とは別のコンテンツである、給湯機リモコン、暖房リモコン、スケジュールや電車などの時刻表を閲覧することができる生活情報提供といったコンテンツを備えている場合の例であり、その他の構成、動作は実施例１と同じである。そこで以下では実施例２の構成、動作について、実施例１との相違点を中心に述べ、その他の構成、動作について実施例１と同じものとする。

次に実施例２について図５から図８を用いて説明する。まず、実施例２の構成について、図５を用いて説明する。６１は、操作表示機器１１の操作を行う、入力手段、６２は前記操作表示機器１１と接続しており、操作表示機器１１から制御することが可能な給湯機、６３は給湯機６２と接続している給湯機端末である床暖房、６４は操作表示機器１１を設置している家庭に情報を配信したり、操作表示機器１１から送信されてくる情報を管理する管理会社である。

次に、本発明の実施例２の動作について説明する。表示手段１５はタッチパネル式のディスプレイであり、画面タッチによる直接入力が可能である。本実施例では、前記操作表示機器１１は、給湯機リモコン、暖房リモコン、スケジュールや電車などの時刻表を閲覧することができる生活情報提供のコンテンツを備えている。

次に、図６は本発明の実施例２における操作表示機器１１の外観の例である。１３−ｄ、１３−ｅ、１３−ｆはそれぞれ、給湯機リモコン、暖房リモコン、生活情報提供のカテゴリー毎のメインメニュー画面を呼びだすためのメインメニュー画面切替え手段である。前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段１３には、各々カテゴリー名が表記されており、第１の実施例と同様に、利用者が目的のカテゴリーの前記メインメニュー画面切替え手段１３を操作すると、各々のメインメニュー画面を呼びだすことができる。

このように、前記操作表示機器１１がサーバー６５と接続されており、様々な情報提供が可能となって、閲覧できる情報の量が増えたり、給湯機と接続されて、給湯機リモコンや暖房機器の操作機器としての機能がついたりと、前記操作表示機器１１が備える機能や、表示すべき情報内容が増えると、利用者が現在使っているコンテンツを終了し、他のコンテンツを利用する場合、誰でも簡単にコンテンツを切替えるようにすることが難しい。

また、本実施例のように、生活情報提供や、給湯機のリモコン、暖房機のリモコンなどのように、通常は、それぞれ一つ一つが独立した専用の機器、または専用のリモコンとして存在しているようなコンテンツの機能を、１つの機器で実現する場合は、簡単にこれらのコンテンツの表示切替えを行うことは、誰でも複数の機能を容易に切替え、操作できる機器を実現するためには、重要な要素である。
