Abstract
【解決手段】一対の回動軸を内部連結するためのユニバーサルジョイントは、十字形金具によって内部連結された一対の二股ヨークを含む。十字形金具は、夫々が潤滑剤経路を含む4本の直交トラニオンを含む。スラストワッシャは潤滑剤経路の内側面と係合することによって各トラニオン上のベアリングアセンブリを保持する。

Claims (25)
- 支持部自体を通って延設される開口部を有する前記支持部を含むヨークと、
端面を有する略円柱形部と、前記端面に接続するトラニオンを少なくとも部分的に通過する潤滑剤経路とを含む前記トラニオンを有する十字形金具と、
前記略円柱形部の上に回動可能に位置付けられたベアリングと、
略平面でかつ前記トラニオンの前記端面に係合する円板部と、前記円板部から突出しかつ前記潤滑剤経路の内側面と係合して前記トラニオン上に前記ベアリングを保持する刃先部と、を有するスラストワッシャと、
からなるユニバーサルジョイント。 - 前記刃先部は、前記内側面を偏向係合させることを特徴とする請求項1のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記刃先部は、前記軸受を前記トラニオンの前記略円柱形部上に位置付ける間、少なくとも部分変形することを特徴とする請求項1のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記刃先部は、夫々が個々に変形可能で間隔をもって設けられた複数の爪部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記爪部のうち少なくとも一本は、前記潤滑剤経路の前記内側面を係合する放射状に伸延した鉤羽を含むことを特徴とする請求項4のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記潤滑剤経路は、前記内側面上に位置しかつ前記トラニオンの前記端面から外れて位置する回り止めを含み、前記鉤羽は、前記回り止め内部に位置付けられることによって前記トラニオンからの前記軸受の引き抜きに抗すことを特徴とする、請求項5のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記間隔をもって設けられた複数の爪部は、前記円板部を通って延設された開口部を中心に円周状に位置付けられていることを特徴とする請求項4のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記円周状に位置付けられる爪部は、前記刃先部を略円錐形に形成することを特徴とする請求項7のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記間隔をもって設けられた複数の爪部のうち少なくとも一本は、放射状に伸延しかつ間隔をもって設けられた複数の鉤羽を含み、前記鉤羽は、前記爪部を前記潤滑剤経路へと挿入する力が前記爪部を前記潤滑剤経路から引き抜く力よりも実質弱くなる角度に配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項7のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記刃先部は、側壁と端壁とを有する略中空の円柱部であることを特徴とする請求項1のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記略中空の円柱部は、前記側壁を通って延設される複数のスロットを含むことを特徴とする請求項10のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 前記側壁は外側面を含み、前記側壁の少なくとも一部は、前記外側面から放射状に外方へ伸延しかつ前記潤滑剤経路の内側面を係合する突出部を含むことを特徴とする、請求項11のユニバーサルジョイント。
- 端面及び前記端面を通って伸延する潤滑剤経路を有する略円柱形部を含む十字型金具のトラニオンに軸受を位置付ける工程と、
略平面の円板部及び前記円板部から延出した刃先部を含むスラストワッシャを前記トラニオンに結合する工程と、
前記刃先部を前記潤滑剤経路内に挿入する工程と、
前記刃先部を前記潤滑剤経路の内側面に偏向係合させる工程と、
前記軸受カップを前記スラストワッシャと前記軸受上に位置付ける工程と、
からなるユニバーサルジョイントの組立方法。 - 前記軸受カップにシール部を嵌合する工程と、前記シール部の少なくとも一部を前記軸受に近接して位置付ける工程と、を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項13の方法。
- 前記軸受カップを前記スラストワッシャと前記軸受上に位置付けする工程が、前記刃先部を挿入する前記工程よりも前に行われることを特徴とする、請求項13の方法。
- 前記トラニオンの前記端面を前記円板部の表面と係合させる工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項13の方法。
- 前記スラストワッシャの円周形フランジの内側面を前記トラニオンの略円柱形部の外側面と係合させる工程を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項16の方法。
- 前記刃先部は、前記円板部から一端が飛び出しかつ間隔をもって設けられた複数の爪部を含み、前記爪部の少なくとも一本は前記潤滑剤経路内に挿入中に変形することを特徴とする、請求項13の方法。
- 前記爪部の少なくとも一本は、前記潤滑剤経路の前記内側面を係合する放射状に伸延する鉤羽を含むことを特徴とする請求項18の方法。
- 前記潤滑剤経路は、前記内側面上に位置付けられかつ前記トラニオンの端面から外れて位置する回り止めを含み、前記鉤羽は、前記回り止め内部に位置することによって前記トラニオンからの前記軸受の引き抜きに抗すことを特徴とする、請求項19の方法。
- 前記間隔をもって設けられた複数の爪部は、前記円板部を通って延設された開口部を中心として円周状に位置付けられることを特徴とする請求項18の方法。
- 前記円周状に位置付けられた爪部は、前記刃先部を略円錐形に形成することを特徴とする請求項21の方法。
- 前記刃先部は、前記刃先部から放射状に伸延する複数の鉤羽をもった外側面を含み、前記鉤羽は、該鉤羽の前記潤滑剤経路からの引き抜きに対して抗力を付与する角度に位置付けされていることを特徴とする、請求項13の方法。
- 前記刃先部は、側壁と端壁とを有する略中空の円柱部であることを特徴とする請求項13の方法。
- 前記略中空の円柱部は、前記側壁を通って延設される複数のスロットを含むことを特徴とする請求項24の方法。
