一般に、住宅などの建物の窓部分や、その他の開口部分に配設されるシャッター装置には、開口部分を閉鎖した際に、その開口部分の下縁に当接する水切スラットが、シャッターカーテンの最下端に連結される。
この水切スラットは、種々の形状,構造のものがあるが、シャッターカーテンを巻き取り、シャッターケースなどの収納部に収容される際に、シャッターカーテンが収納部内に全て巻き取られないような機能が付加されている構成のものがある。

このような構造としては、例えば、下記特許文献1に示される戸当たり部材を備えたものなどがある。この戸当たり部材は、シャッターカーテンの最下端を構成する水切スラットの一方の面に、略水平方向に延出して固定されるものである。そして、シャッターカーテンを収容する収納部におけるスリット状の出入口の開口縁部に、この戸当たり部材が当接することで、シャッターカーテン巻き取り時のストッパとされている。

本実施の形態の水切スラットの構造は、連結板部2と、当接板部8とで略構成される水切スラット本体1と、被覆部材10とで大略構成されている。
