【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a medical system which aims to help a person who is blind or amblyopic to recognize the length of a distance to an object as pitch of an audio frequency sound (hereinafter referred to as a distance sound), and to assist a person with blindness or low vision. Belongs to the technical field of instruments.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a blind person has recognized the distance to an object by the sensation of touching with a hand or a cane, so that the distance to an object that a hand or a cane cannot reach cannot be grasped.
More recently, there are verbal guidance systems that use navigation.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
(1) A blind person can recognize the approximate distance to an object based on the pitch of the distance sound. (2) To be able to judge the surrounding situation in real time by sensing the distance of an object from about 0.2 m to about 15 m ahead. (3) By changing the timbres of the sensors in three directions, it is possible to recognize which direction the distance sound of the sensor is. (4) Being able to distinguish it from surrounding sounds. (5) Widening the so-called field of view by shifting the left and right sensors out of the direction of the central sensor by about 30 to 45 degrees. (6) Although a simplified system is used, the surrounding conditions can be determined in real time, so that a cheaper and more accurate system can be supplied.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
(1) As shown in FIG. 1, micro distance sensors are installed at the center and left and right of the headband, and the detected distance is converted as a distance sound. Is far away).
(2) The distance to the target and the frequency characteristics of the distance sound are linearly inversely proportional.
(3) By changing the timbres of the sensors in three directions, it is possible to recognize which direction the distance sound of the sensor is. The left sensor is based on left ear hearing, and the right sensor is based on right ear hearing. The central sensor supplies the same level and the same timbre to the left and right hearing senses, and senses the center position with a stereo effect.
(4) The earphone must be structured so that the surrounding sound and the distance sound can be distinguished.
[0005]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
(A) The distance of the micro distance sensor is transmitted to the earphone as the pitch of the audible frequency sound, and the user recognizes the distance by the pitch of the sound.
(B) Micro distance sensors are placed on the left, right, and center of the head. The distance sound of the left sensor is to the left earphone, the distance sound of the right sensor is to the right earphone, and the distance sound of the center sensor is the same for the left and right earphones. Input at the level, so that the stereo effect makes it possible for human hearing to be heard from the center.
(C) The distance sounds of the left, right, and center sensors have different timbres so that the distance sound of which sensor can be identified.
(D) Since the sensors can detect almost only points, it is necessary to shake the neck left, right, up and down to grasp the situation on the front with three sensors.
[0006]
【Example】
Example 1
First Embodiment A first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
(A) FIG. 1 is a layout view of a distance sensor as viewed from a plane, where a center distance sensor (2), a right distance sensor (3) and a left distance sensor (4) are arranged on a human head (1). Is shown. However, each of the left and right distance sensors faces outward by about 30 degrees, so as to widen the field of view.
(B) FIG. 2 shows a layout view of each distance sensor viewed from a plane, and a right earphone (3P) and a left earphone (4P).
(C) FIG. 3 is a flow diagram of this system. The distance (5) measured by the sensor is converted into audio of an audible frequency (6), and each sensor is given a different tone (7), so that the earphone can be used. The distance and direction to the object are determined by sound (8).
[0007]
【The invention's effect】
(A) In this system, a person who is blind or has low vision senses the distance to an object as high-frequency sound (short distance) and low-frequency sound (far distance) as distance sound.
(B) By moving the head up and down, left and right, you can sense a wider field of view.
(C) The system can avoid a collision accident and can walk more safely by using the system together with a walking stick or a guide dog.
