本発明は、遊技機本体に装着されコネクタにより接続されて遊技機を構成する遊技機用ユニット、遊技機本体、および遊技機に関する。

【背景技術および発明が解決しようとする課題】
ホールやアーケードなどに設置される遊技機には、保守性の向上などのために本体にユニットを装着することによって遊技機として構成されるものがある。このような構成の遊技機においては、ユニットを本体に装着した後に、電気信号や電力の伝達を行うために本体とユニットとをコネクタで接続する必要がある。そのため、本体とユニットからなる遊技機の組み立てや、ユニットの本体からの取り外しにおいては、本体とユニットとの機械的な固定と、コネクタの接続という2つのステップが必要であった。

そこで、ユニットの本体への装着と同時に、ユニットのコネクタと本体のコネクタとの接続が完了するように構成した遊技機がある。ところが、このような遊技機においてはユニットの装着においてコネクタ同士の位置合わせ精度が十分出せないことがある。そのようにコネクタ同士の位置合わせが不十分な状態で、コネクタ同士を無理に接続しようとすると、電気的な接続に問題が発生するばかりでなく、コネクタが破損したり、コネクタが搭載された基板に変形が生じたりしてしまうことがある。コネクタが搭載された基板に変形が生じると、半田付け部分などに亀裂が入って接触不良を起こすなどさまざまな問題が生じる恐れがある。

また、ユニットによってはモータなどの動力部分を備えているものがあり、モータなどから振動が発生してしまうものがある。そのような振動がコネクタに及ぶと、コネクタによる電気的な接続の信頼性が時間の経過とともに急激に減少してしまう。

本発明は、上記のような点に鑑みてなされたものであって、その目的は、ユニットの本体への装着と同時にユニットのコネクタと本体のコネクタとの接続が完了し、コネクタが搭載された基板に変形が少なく、ユニット内部の振動のコネクタへの伝達が少ない、遊技機用ユニットおよび遊技機本体を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
(1) 本発明の遊技機用ユニットは、遊技機本体に装着されて遊技機を構成する遊技機用ユニットであって、筐体と、当該遊技機用ユニットが前記遊技機本体へ装着されるのと同時に前記遊技機本体に設けられた受側コネクタに嵌合されることにより電気信号および電力の伝達を行う差込側コネクタと、前記差込側コネクタが搭載される回路基板と、前記回路基板より剛性が高く前記回路基板が当該回路基板の背面の殆どの領域で接触した状態で固定される基板固定部、および、前記基板固定部より剛性が低く当該基板固定部から伸びる複数の延在部、を備える基板保持部材と、を有し、前記基板保持部材は前記延在部を介して前記筐体に固定される。

本発明によれば、遊技機用ユニットの差込側コネクタは、遊技機用ユニットが遊技機本体へ装着されるのと同時に遊技機本体に設けられた受側コネクタに嵌合される。しかも、差込側コネクタが搭載される回路基板はそれより剛性が高い基板固定部に背面の殆どの領域が接触した状態で固定され、基板保持部材は基板固定部より剛性が低い複数の延在部を介して筐体に固定される。したがって、差込側コネクタに力が加わったとしても、それに伴う変形は殆ど延在部で発生し、差込側コネクタが搭載された回路基板に変形が起きにくい。その結果、回路基板の変形によって半田付け部分などに亀裂が入り接触不良を起こすなどの問題が生じる恐れが少ない。

また、基板固定部より剛性が低い複数の延在部を介して基板保持部材が筐体に固定されているため、ユニット内部で発生した振動が延在部において吸収され、回路基板および差込側コネクタへの振動の伝達が少ない。したがって、そのような振動が差込側コネクタに及ぶことに起因して差込側コネクタおよび受側コネクタによる電気的な接続の信頼性が経時的に急激に低下することを防止できる。

(2) なお、前記基板固定部は、他の部分より厚く形成され縦横に伸びる肉厚部を有していてもよい。このように基板固定部が縦横に伸びる肉厚部を持つことによって、基板固定部の全体を厚くする場合に比べて製造のための樹脂を大幅に増やすことなく、基板固定部の剛性を高めることができる。

以下、本発明の好適な実施の形態について、図面を参照しながら、さらに具体的に説明する。

1. <第1実施形態>
図1は第1実施形態の遊技機であるスロットマシン10の遊技機本体11とユニット(遊技機用ユニット)50とが分離された状態として示す模式的な斜視図である。本実施形態のスロットマシン10は、遊技機本体11にユニット50が装着されて構成される。この装着と同時に、ユニット50の背面に位置する差込側コネクタが、遊技機本体11の筐体12の内側奥に設けられた受側コネクタに嵌合されるようになっている。本実施形態におけるユニット50はメインユニットであり、ユニット50にはスロットマシンの動作を制御する主要な電子回路や、リールユニットなどが納められている。
