Abstract

従来は、図6に示すように流し台、洗面台などの排水設備1に接続される上流側の排水管は蛇腹管2にて形成され、この蛇腹管2の下流開口端は床面3から立ち上げられている塩化ビニル樹脂にて成型した床下排水管4の上端接続口に差込み接続し、この床下に配管した下流側床下排水管4の上端接続口に嵌着したパッキング5が前記蛇腹管2の外周面に密着して密封接続する方法が採られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、図6に示す配管方法では、蛇腹管2はその可撓性により中間部が弛み、蛇腹管2の中間部に水が溜まり易いとともに蛇腹管2内で詰まりが生じ易く、二重トラップ現象が起き、排水が円滑に行なわれなくなるおそれがあり、また、蛇腹管2と塩化ビニル樹脂の床下に配管した床下排水管4との接続部から水漏れが生じるという問題を有していた。

本発明は、上記問題点に鑑みなされたもので、排水設備からの排水が床下に配管した排水管までの管路内に溜まり、或いは、管路内で詰まりが生じることなく、排水が円滑に流れるように、蛇腹管を用いずに排水設備に接続した塩化ビニル管などの上流側排水管を床下に配管した下流側排水管に容易に接続できる排水管の管継ぎ手を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1記載の発明の排水管の管継ぎ手は、一端下流側接続部の端面に下流側接続口を開口するとともに他端上流側接続部の端面に上流側接続口を開口した管継ぎ手本体を備え、この管継ぎ手本体の上流側接続口に臨ませてこの上流側接続口に差し込まれた上流側被接続管の外周面に圧接される弾性密封環を装着し、この管継ぎ手本体の外周部には前記下流側接続部と上流側接続部との間に位置して床面にこの管継ぎ手本体を固定する固定手段を設け、前記管継ぎ手本体の上流側接続口の内径は、上流側被接続管の外径の寸法より大きい寸法とし、この上流側被接続管を前記管継ぎ手本体の上流側接続口に抜き差し自在に嵌挿し、前記上流側被接続管の差込み長さを調節可能としたものである。

図1において、塩化ビニル樹脂などの合成樹脂にて略細長円筒形状に成型された管継ぎ手本体10は、一端下流側接続部11の端面に下流側接続口12が開口するとともに他端上流側接続部13の端面に上流側接続口14が開口されている。この管継ぎ手本体10の上流側接続部13の外周面にはねじ部15が形成され、この上流側接続部13に嵌着されるナット状の締め付け環16の内周面には前記ねじ部15に螺合されるねじ溝17が形成されている。この締め付け環16の端縁には径方向に向って内側に突出する締め付け縁18が形成されるとともにこの締め付け縁18の内周縁にて上流側被接続管19を嵌挿する嵌挿口20が形成される。
