Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption by spontaneously heating fuel to a constant temperature to make the fuel injected from a fuel injection nozzle into fine particles for promoting fusion with air and increasing fuel efficiency, and simultaneously raising a temperature in a cylinder to further increase fuel efficiency due to its synergistic effect.
SOLUTION: Fuel is transferred from a fuel tank 1 to an automatic electrothermal fuel heater 4 via a primary fuel filter 2 and a fuel flow meter 3, and spontaneously heated and expanded to a constant temperature set by a temperature setter 12 according to a flow rate. Compressed high temperature fuel is injected in a cylinder by a fuel injection nozzle 9. In this case, because an injection pressure is increased more than normal, smaller fuel particles are dispersed so as to heighten a fusing property with air and increase fuel efficiency. Along with perfect combustion, exhaust gas can be also purified. Because the high temperature fuel not used by a fuel injection pump 7 is returned to the automatic electrothermal fuel heater 4 and recycled so as to save electricity required for heating, an economical effect is larger. Therefore, this invention can contribute to resource exhaustive problems and environment improving problems.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a fuel consumption improving and exhaust gas purifying apparatus for improving fuel efficiency of a diesel engine by improving fuel properties.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a method for improving fuel consumption and purifying exhaust gas from diesel engines, etc., a method in which fuel is brought into contact with a catalyst in which a magnetic substance or a substance that emits far-infrared rays is mixed into ceramics, etc. There is a method of refining the carbon clusters of the fuel by the action of the magnetic force, β-wave, or the like, and modifying the properties, but no remarkable effect has been confirmed.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In order to improve the combustion efficiency by reforming the properties of the fuel, it is necessary to consider the characteristics of the fuel. When the fuel is brought into direct contact with a catalyst such as a ceramic, particles of the ceramic or the like enter the inside of the engine due to erosion, causing a failure. Further, sludge or the like of the fuel adheres to the surface of the ceramic or the like with the passage of time and loses its effectiveness. The method of attaching a magnet or a radioactive substance to the outside of the fuel supply pipe does not correspond to the fuel flow rate due to the increase or decrease of the load on the engine, so that the effect varies. The present invention is an apparatus for improving the fuel consumption and stably and continuously purifying the exhaust gas without reforming the properties of the fuel without using a catalyst, a magnet, a radioactive substance, or the like, which causes various problems.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, the fuel is reformed by automatically heating the fuel to a temperature set according to the flow rate by an automatic electrothermal fuel heater which is easy to control the temperature, increasing the temperature and expanding the volume, and injecting the fuel. By compressing with a pump and injecting it into the cylinder from an injection nozzle, the fuel is atomized and the fusion with air is enhanced, and at the same time, the temperature inside the cylinder is raised and the synergistic effect increases the combustion efficiency.
[0005]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The automatic electric fuel heater uses a stainless steel SUS304 having a plate thickness of about 2 mm in consideration of strength, corrosion, and the like as a base material, and determines the diameter and length in consideration of the maximum fuel flow rate, and is processed into a cylindrical shape. A medium non-contact type electric heater with an output of 1 KW to 15 KW in consideration of corrosion resistance and the like according to the maximum fuel flow rate is housed inside, and a fuel inlet, an outlet and a bypass valve are attached, and both ends are sealed. The electric heater is removable so that the inside can be inspected and cleaned. The automatic electric fuel heater is equipped with a temperature sensor, a temperature setting device and a non-contact power switch to control the fuel heating temperature automatically, and considers stability, sustainability and safety. Further, in order to prevent the generation of sludge or the like due to heating of the fuel, the contact area between the heating surface and the fuel is increased, and the watt density is set to about 2 W / cm 2 . Further, in order to cope with the case where a very small amount of sludge is generated, a secondary fuel filter of 10 micron mesh is attached between the fuel injection pump and the engine to collect the sludge. The automatic electric fuel heater has a fuel bypass circuit so that the engine can be checked even during operation and the secondary fuel filter can be replaced. The operation and stop of the automatic electrothermal fuel heater is automated by using the a-contact of a voltage relay equipped with the voltage generated by an alternator provided in the engine as an operation signal of a power supply electromagnetic switch.
[0006]
【Example】
According to the present invention, referring to FIGS. 1 and 4, when the engine is started, a voltage of an alternator mounted on the engine is generated. A signal in which the a contact of the voltage relay 19 is short-circuited by the voltage is sent to the power supply electromagnetic switch 15 to be operated to energize the external power supply. The fuel that has passed through the primary fuel filter 2 and the fuel flow meter 3 from the fuel tank 1 is heated and expanded instantaneously by an automatic electrothermal fuel heater 4 to a set temperature in accordance with the flow rate. In this case, measures are taken to prevent the generation of sludge due to instantaneous heating by setting the electric heat capacity to about 2 W / cm 2 . Further, as a dual measure, a secondary fuel filter 5 is provided to remove sludge. Equipped with a long-life non-contact switch 13 for opening and closing the power supply to keep the temperature set by the temperature setting device 12 by measuring the fuel temperature at the outlet of the heater with the temperature sensor 11 to keep the fuel heating temperature constant. To adjust the heating. The fuel compressed by the fuel injection pump 7 is injected from a fuel injection nozzle 9 through a high-pressure fuel pipe 8. In this case, the injection pressure increases more than usual, the fuel particles become smaller, the diffusion volume expands, the fusibility with air increases, and the combustion efficiency increases. Further, because of the high temperature, the temperature in the cylinder 10 increases, and the combustion efficiency increases synergistically. The returned high-temperature fuel not used in the fuel injection pump is returned to the automatic electrothermal fuel heater 4 so as to be reused to save the electric power required for heating.
[0007]
【The invention's effect】
In this case, the fuel expanded by heating is pressurized by the injection pump, so that the injection pressure at the nozzle is increased, the fuel is atomized, the fusion with the air is promoted, and the combustion efficiency is increased. In addition, the injection of high-temperature fuel raises the temperature inside the cylinder, and the engine output increases due to the synergistic effect, so that the fuel consumption can be improved stably and continuously. It can also contribute to economic effects, resource depletion issues, and environmental improvement issues.
