Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an absorbent article such as a disposable disposable diaper or a sanitary napkin, and more particularly, to an absorbent article having an absorbent body that is excellent in strength, absorbency, and manufacturing cost.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the basic structure of an absorbent article such as a disposable disposable diaper or a sanitary napkin is a liquid-permeable top sheet that covers the front side, that is, a side in contact with the wearer's body, and a liquid-impermeable back sheet that covers the back side. And an absorber interposed between the sheets.
[0003]
FIG. 3 is a plan view of a tape-type disposable paper diaper 100, which is an example of an absorbent article, when viewed from the front side, and FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along line YY of FIG. As shown in the figure, the disposable diaper 100 is formed by forming a disposable diaper main body constituted by an absorber 103 interposed between a liquid-permeable top sheet 101 and a liquid-impermeable back sheet 102 into a pseudo hourglass shape. On the back side thereof, a fastening tape 104 and an elastic elastic member 105B for holding and closely attaching the diaper main body to the body, similarly, an elastic elastic member 105F on the abdominal side, and an elastic elastic member 105S on the leg circumference. Have
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The absorber 103 is entirely covered with crepe paper 106 and usually has pulp fibers 107 and an absorbent polymer 108 inside. The disposable diaper 100 configured as described above temporarily retains the bodily fluid such as urine that has entered through the liquid-permeable top sheet 101 with the pulp fiber 107 and then retains the bodily fluid with the absorbent polymer 108. At this time, the absorbent polymer swells and the volume of the absorbent 103 increases, but when the amount of the absorbent polymer 108 is increased, the amount of pulp fibers in the absorbent 103 is relatively reduced, and the absorption rate is reduced. In addition, there is a disadvantage that the entanglement of the fibers is reduced and the shape retention of the absorber 103 is deteriorated.
[0005]
For this reason, conventionally, for example, JP-A-63-92701 and JP-A-2-74254 disclose a heat-fusible fiber mixed with pulp fibers to improve the shape-retaining property. Have been proposed. However, an absorbent article using such a heat-meltable fiber as an absorber has a problem in that the production cost is increased and absorption is inhibited.
[0006]
On the other hand, for example, in JP-A-6-98909, as shown in FIG. 4, hydrophilic fibers 109 having a long fiber length are dispersed together with a pulp fiber 107 and an absorbent polymer 108 inside an absorber 103. Absorbed articles have been proposed. However, in the disposable diaper 100 having such an absorber 103, that is, in the absorbent article, the fibers are entangled with each other to increase the strength, and it is considered that the fiber can be manufactured at a lower cost than the heat-meltable fiber. When the bodily fluid that has passed through the liquid top sheet 101 and the crepe paper 106 reaches the surface of the absorber 103, the hydrophilic fibers 109 retain water, and the surface of the absorber 103 before the bodily fluid is absorbed by the absorbent polymer 108. There is a drawback that the back is caused from the back. Further, in order to produce such hydrophilic fibers, the fibers need to be subjected to a hydrophilic treatment, and the cost is added, and there is a disadvantage that the cost is increased as a whole.
[0007]
The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, and provides an absorbent article that has strength, is excellent in absorptivity, does not have body fluid reversion, and can be manufactured at low cost as a whole. The purpose is to:
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The object of the present invention is to provide a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent interposed between the sheets, wherein the absorbent is mainly composed of pulp fibers and a water-absorbing polymer. In the article, the absorbent body is achieved by an absorbent article characterized in that hydrophobic fibers having a longer fiber length than the pulp fibers are dispersed in the pulp fibers.
[0009]
Further, the above object of the present invention is more effectively achieved by an absorbent article wherein the hydrophobic fiber of the absorber is 5 to 50% by weight based on the pulp fiber.
[0010]
Further, the above object of the present invention is more effectively achieved by an absorbent article characterized in that the absorbent polymer of the absorbent is 100 to 500% by weight based on the pulp fiber.
[0011]
Further, the above object of the present invention is more effectively achieved by an absorbent article, wherein the fineness of the hydrophobic fiber of the absorber is 0.5 to 5d.
[0012]
Still further, the above object of the present invention is more effectively achieved by an absorbent article, wherein the hydrophobic fiber is a synthetic fiber that has not been subjected to a hydrophilic treatment, and has been subjected to a crimping treatment. You.
[0013]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the contents of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings showing preferred embodiments of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a plan view of a disposable disposable diaper 10, which is an absorbent article according to the present invention, as viewed from the front side, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line XX of FIG. As shown in the drawing, the present paper diaper 10 is substantially the same as the conventional paper diaper 100 described above except for the internal structure of the absorber 13. For this reason, the components corresponding to the disposable diaper 100 are denoted by the corresponding numbers and symbols in the tens.
[0014]
That is, in the paper diaper 10, the paper diaper main body is constituted by the absorber 13 interposed between the liquid-permeable top sheet 11 and the liquid-impermeable back sheet 12, and the entire back is formed in a pseudo hourglass shape. Is an elastic elastic member 15B composed of a fastening tape 14 and a rubber string for holding and making the diaper main body adhere to the body, an elastic elastic member 15F on the abdomen side, and an elastic elastic member 15S on the leg circumference. The inside of the absorbent body 13 covered with the crepe paper 16 has the pulp fiber 17 and the absorbent polymer 18 and the long hydrophobic fiber 20 dispersed therein.
[0015]
For the liquid-permeable top sheet 11, a material having liquid permeability, such as a woven fabric, a non-woven fabric, or a porous sheet, which is soft and comfortable to the touch is used. The liquid-impermeable back sheet 12 is made of a liquid-impermeable, soft material such as polyethylene, a waterproof film, a composite material of these materials, or a composite material of a film and a woven fabric.
[0016]
As shown in FIG. 2, the absorber 13 is composed of a pulp fiber 17, a water-absorbing polymer 18, and a hydrophobic fiber 20 having a longer fiber length than the pulp fiber 17. Although the shape and thickness of the absorber 13 are appropriately designed according to the application, in the present embodiment, the whole is formed in a pseudo hourglass shape, and the thickness is set to about 10 mm to 20 mm.
[0017]
Here, the material of the hydrophobic fiber 20 is a synthetic fiber that has not been subjected to a hydrophilic treatment, such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, a composite of polypropylene and polyethylene, and a composite of polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate. Those subjected to a shrinking treatment are preferably used because they are excellent in strength and absorbency.
[0018]
It is desirable that the hydrophobic fiber 20 is 5 to 50% by weight based on the pulp fiber 17. If the amount is less than 5% by weight, the fixing effect is not sufficiently exhibited. Conversely, if the amount is more than 50% by weight, the thickness of the absorber 13 becomes thick, and the diaper gives a sense of luggage and becomes difficult to wear, and also costs are reduced But there is a problem. Furthermore, when it is more than 50% by weight, the liquid retention of the pulp fiber 17 at the time of the initial absorption becomes too small, and the water absorbent polymer 18 may return before absorbing the body fluid.
[0019]
In addition, the hydrophobic fiber 20 preferably has a fiber diameter of 0.5 to 5 d from the viewpoints of fiber productivity and dispersibility in the pulp fiber 17. If the fiber diameter is smaller than 0.5 d, there is a problem in strength, while if it is larger than 5 d, the tactile sensation is deteriorated, and at the same time, the liquid absorption from the topsheet may be impaired by the capillary phenomenon.
[0020]
Furthermore, the water-absorbing polymer 18 is 100 to 500% by weight, preferably 100 to 200% by weight, more preferably 100 to 150% by weight, based on the pulp fiber 17, from the viewpoint of the body fluid absorptivity and the shape retention of the absorber 13. % By weight.
[0021]
Since the paper diaper 10 is configured as described above, when the bodily fluid that has passed through the liquid-permeable top sheet 11 and the crepe paper 16 reaches the absorber 13, it is sewn between the hydrophobic fibers 20 and immediately absorbed by the absorbent polymer 18. Swell. For this reason, there is no reversion phenomenon of the body fluid as seen in the conventional absorbent articles, and it is possible to give the wearer a clear feeling.
[0022]
In addition, by entanglement of the hydrophobic fiber 20 having a long fiber length with the pulp fiber 17, the strength of the absorber 13 is increased, and good shape retention can be maintained. As described above, it is preferable to use a synthetic fiber obtained by performing a crimping process on the hydrophobic fiber 20. The application of the hydrophobic fiber 20, in particular, the crimping treatment, does not require a special device or operation in the manufacturing process, and can be realized at low cost.
[0023]
As described above, the content of the present invention has been described by taking the case where the absorbent article is a disposable disposable diaper as an example. Needless to say, the present invention can be applied to known absorbent articles.
[0024]
As described in detail above, according to the present invention, the strength of the absorber itself can be increased, and the absorbent is excellent, so that there is no reversion of bodily fluids. The overall manufacturing cost can be significantly reduced as compared to an absorbent article using fibers for the absorbent.
