従来から、直径が1m以上ある大型の駆動ギヤが種々の装置に利用されているが、長期間にわたって使用していると摩耗や破損等を生じて交換する必要性が出てくる。この場合、今まではギヤ全体を新品のギヤとそっくり交換するのが普通であった。

しかしながら、大型の特殊サイズの製品でありギヤ全体を交換するのは費用的にも高くなるうえに、発注してから納品までに時間がかかるため突発的な破損等を生じた場合には長い間機械を停止させることになる等の問題点があった。
更には、鉄鋼工場等で用いられているウォーキングビームの昇降装置においては、駆動ギヤとして大型のものが使用されているが、これを交換する場合、場所が狭いうえに軸受け等が干渉してギヤを軸方向に抜けないため周辺機器の全てを取り外してからギヤを抜く必要があり、交換作業が煩雑で長時間かかるという問題点があった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は上記のような従来の問題点を解決して、外周にあるギヤ部のみの交換が可能で、簡単かつ経済的にギヤ部の交換が行えるとともに、軸受け等との干渉を回避して狭い場所でもギヤ部の交換を簡単かつ短時間で行うことができる分割型駆動ギヤ及びそれを用いたウォーキングビームの昇降装置を提供することを目的として完成されたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決するためになされた本発明は、回転軸に係止されるボスの外周に外方向に広がるフランジ部を形成するとともに、該フランジ部に環状ギヤを着脱自在に装着したことを特徴とする分割型駆動ギヤと、このような分割型駆動ギヤを、ウォーキングビームの昇降装置の駆動ギヤとして組み込んだことを特徴とする分割型駆動ギヤを用いたウォーキングビームの昇降装置である。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、一例として図面を参照しつつ本発明の好ましい実施の形態を示す。
図1は、本発明に係る分割型駆動ギヤの断面図、図2はその正面図を示すものであり、図中1は中心部に回転軸10を挿通する孔部1bを設けたボス、2は外周面に所定ピッチの歯を設けた環状ギヤである。そして、本発明では回転軸10に係止されるボス1の外周に外方向に広がるフランジ部1aが形成されているとともに、該フランジ部1aに環状ギヤ2をボルト等の連結部材3によって着脱自在に装着したものとなっている。

なお図示のものでは、ボス1と環状ギヤ2とを直接に連結したものではなく、その間に別の円盤状連結板4を介して一体化したものとされているが、このような連結板4の介在はギヤの大きさ等により任意に設計可能なものであり、2枚以上の連結板4を用いたり、あるいは連結板4を用いない等、自由に設計することができる。

また、環状ギヤ2の内周には内方向に広がるフランジ部2aが形成されており、前記ボス1のフランジ部1aと連結部材3で着脱自在に装着できるよう構成されている。また図示のように、連結板4を介在させたものでは、各フランジ部1a、2aと連結板4とを連結部材3で着脱自在に装着したものとなっている。

このように本発明に係る分割型駆動ギヤは、回転軸10に係止されるボス1の外周に外方向に広がるフランジ部1aが形成されているとともに、該フランジ部1aに環状ギヤ2をボルト等の連結部材3によって着脱自在に装着したものとなっているので、例えば、使用中に歯が摩耗や損傷等が生じて交換する必要に迫られた場合でも、従来のようにギヤ全体を交換する必要はなく、環状ギヤ2のみを交換すればよい。この場合は、連結部材3であるボルトを弛めて新たな環状ギヤに交換するだけの作業であり、極めて短時間で簡単に交換することができ、更には費用的にも廉価で優れた経済性も発揮できることとなる。

次に、上記のような分割型駆動ギヤを用いたウォーキングビームの昇降装置について説明する。
図3は、製鉄工場の加熱炉におけるスラブ搬送用ウォーキングビームの昇降装置を示すもので、図中20はトラベルビーム、21はこのトラベルビーム20を昇降動するための偏芯タイヤである。そして、この偏芯タイヤ21の回転軸10と同軸上に前記分割型駆動ギヤが取り付けられるとともに、該分割型駆動ギヤが駆動軸22に取り付けた平歯車23とかみ合って回転駆動されるよう構成されている。

一方、ウォーキングビームの昇降装置においては、偏芯タイヤ21に内蔵されたベアリングが荷重による損傷等を受けて交換する必要が生じたり、環状ギヤ2が摩耗等して交換する必要が生じたりする。
しかしながら、従来は昇降装置の設置場所は非常に狭くてスペース的な余裕がなく、しかも各回転軸10および駆動軸22の軸受け24a、24bがあり、駆動ギヤを軸方向に抜こうとすると干渉して抜けないため、軸受け24a、24bの取り外し、電装部品の取り外し等を含め周辺機器の全てを取り外してから駆動ギヤを抜く必要があり、ベアリングやギヤの交換作業が煩雑で長時間かかるものであった。特に、駆動ギヤは直径が1m以上と非常に大きく、その取り外し作業が最も煩雑で長時間要するものであった。

即ち、環状ギヤ2を固定する連結部材3を外してフリーな状態とし、ここで環状ギヤ2を軸受け24a等と干渉しない方向へずらせたうえで回転軸10から抜けば、環状ギヤ2を簡単に取り外すことが可能となる。従って、従来のように軸受けや電装部品等の周辺機器を取り外す必要もなく極めて短時間で取り外し作業を行えることとなる。
なお、従来タイプの駆動ギヤの交換作業に比べて、本発明の分割式のギヤでは交換時間を半分以下に短縮できることが確認されている。

以上の説明からも明らかなように、本発明は外周にあるギヤ部のみの交換が可能で、簡単かつ経済的にギヤ部の交換が行えるとともに、軸受け等との干渉を回避して狭い場所でもギヤ部の交換を簡単かつ短時間で行うことができるものである。
よって本発明は従来の問題点を一掃した分割型駆動ギヤ及びそれを用いたウォーキングビームの昇降装置として、産業の発展に寄与するところは極めて大である。
