すると低速でのそれより一定の計算方式によって距離が
多目に消化されてゆく仕組みになっている。例えば40
km/hのスピードまでは1時間当り40kmづつ減算
されるが、40−50km/hのスピードで運転される
と40×110%の44kmづつ、50−60kmでは
40×120%の48kmづつといった具合。
・この110%とか120%とかは仮のものであって保
険会社が事故の発生する確率等を肝案するところの「大
数の法則」に従った一定の計算式で決められる。これに
より走行速度が比較的安全な40km/h以下のスピー
ドならそのままの距離で消化減算されるが高速運転にな
ると実際の走行距離以上の距離が減算されてしまうこと
になり、早く当初のカードに内蔵されていた1万kmを
使いきってしまうため、運転者にとり保険料が割高にな
りスピード運転に対する抑制効果が働く。
・もしカードを使いきってしまったら再度2枚目のカー
ドを購入することになるが、このカード方式の場合、こ
のカードを運転者の個人個人に発券する方法をとれば運
転者ごとに保険料も異なるように出来るわけであり、仮
に一家族で1台の車を使う際保険料の高い人間がほとん
ど車を使わずとも一応被保険者名に入れておかねばなら
ぬため家族にとり全体の保険料が高くなるといった不合
理を改善できる。又、このカードをクレジット会社と提
携して自動車保険とクレジット両方の機能を持たせれば
保険会社は保険料の徴収業務をこのクレジットカードに
委託でき業務の合理化に役立つ。
b)通信回線方式の場合
・まず保険契約に於て、前述のカード方式同様保険期間
内で付保の対象となる契約走行距離を定める。仮にこの
契約走行距離を1万km/年とするとこの1万kmとい
う条件は保険契約の一部として保険会社に設置される情
報処理コンピューターにインプットされる。
・実際にこの保険の被保険者は運転を開始するに当り、
情報発信端末をもって実際の運転距離を保険会社の情報
処理コンピューターに伝達・連結される。又、この被保
険者側の情報発信端末は当該車の走行距離メーターと連
結しており、この数字が保険会社のコンピューターに最
初にインプットされた1万kmの数字から走行のたびに
消化・減算されてゆく。
・さらにその減算過程に於て高速で運転すると低速での
それより一定の計算方式によって距離が多目に消化され
てゆくシステムになっている。これ以降の実施の形態に
関しての説明は前述のカード方式と同様である。しか
