しだいに成長して集砂ピットとしての機能をはたさなく
なってしまう。これを解決するものとして、集砂ピット
の両傾斜壁にノズルを配置して、このノズルにより砂を
揚砂ポンプの近傍まで移送し、もって吸い込み残しを解
消しようとするものがある。
