However, by simply replacing the conventional receptacle connector with a circuit board having electrode pads, the electrode pads on the board are brought into contact with the contact portion on the connector side under pressure to achieve mutual electrical connection. become. For this reason, when the connector is inserted into the connection portion of the electronic device or the like, the electrical contact portion of the contact piece of the connector is in the initial stage of the insertion process before contacting the electrode pad on the circuit board of the electronic device or the like. May be deteriorated due to friction with the end portion.

A mechanism (landing mechanism) that is placed at a position where it does not touch, and gradually lowers the electrical contact part in the direction perpendicular to the insertion direction as the connector is inserted, and performs the operation of touching only the electrode pads on the board independently (landing mechanism) It is provided with. That is, a structure in which the electrical contact portion is directly connected to the electrode pad of the substrate, but the structure is such that the contact portion of the contact piece does not contact the end of the substrate at the start of fitting with the substrate. It is.

From the state of FIG. 5, the connector 1 is inserted in the direction of the arrow.
FIG. 6 shows a state immediately after insertion. On the other hand, the substrate 5 is guided by the substrate guide portion 45 of the contact piece holding member 11 and inserted into the contact piece holding member 11. Thereafter, the substrate 5 enters between the first lateral extension 37 and the second lateral extension 38 of the contact piece 10 via the inclined guide surface 27 formed on the contact piece 10.

Furthermore, by using the electrode pad surface of the board as a contact surface, the contact piece of the connector has a landing mechanism that descends directly onto the electrode pad of the board with little friction and makes pressure contact with the contact piece. The wear of the surface can be prevented, the durability of the contact portion and the like can be improved, and there is an effect that a longer life and higher reliability can be obtained as compared with the conventional technology.
