2. Description of the Related Art A nail used in a power nailing machine driven by compressed air or the like has a long metal wire attached to a shaft portion arranged in parallel at a predetermined interval at two places along a nail axis. Mainly used are wire connecting nails which are welded and connected, and sheet connecting nails which are connected to a holding piece formed by bending the upper and lower side edges of a plastic sheet by engaging the shank of the nail at regular intervals. In a power nailing machine, a connecting nail is loaded into a magazine, a connecting nail is sequentially supplied from the magazine to an ejecting unit by a nail supply mechanism, and a nail driven to the ejecting unit is driven by a driver driven by a piston or the like, and the nail is supplied to a workpiece. . In the wire connecting nail, the metal wire is broken between the nail supplied to the injection unit and the succeeding nail, and the broken pieces of the wire are buried in the material to be driven while being attached to the leading nail. In the sheet connecting nail,
When the leading nail supplied into the injection port is driven out by the driver, the nail is detached from the connecting band, and the empty connecting band is continuously discharged from a discharge window formed in front of the injection unit. Some nailing machines are configured such that a nail feeding mechanism can also be used so that either of the two types of connecting nails can be used.

In a wire connecting nail connected by a metal wire, when the nail is driven by a nailing machine, the metal wire is broken and the leading nail is detached from the following connecting nail. A part of the connecting wire may come off from the nail shaft and be scattered around when it is launched from the nose of the nailing machine, which is scattered on the floor surface etc., causing the floor surface to be damaged. . In a dual-purpose machine that can be used together with the wire connecting nail and the sheet connecting nail, there is an increasing tendency that cut pieces of the metal wire are scattered from the window for discharging the plastic connecting body. On the other hand, sheet connecting nails require a large amount of plastic material because a plastic sheet is bent so that its cross section has a U-shape, which increases the cost of the connecting body itself. However, there is a problem in that the disposal of the remaining part of the linked body is costly.

Each nail N of the nail connector 1 connected as described above
The distance between the nail shafts 2 is maintained by the rigidity of the metal wire 5 so that the normal connection state is not disturbed even when the nail is loaded in the magazine of the nailing machine, and even when the nailing machine is supplied by the feeding mechanism. The nail shafts 2 are supplied while maintaining a parallel relationship with each other. The first nail N supplied by the feeding mechanism of the nailing machine into the injection opening of the nailing machine is held at an appropriate position in the injection opening by the second nail N being supported by the feeding claw of the feeding mechanism. . When the leading nail N is hit on the head by the driver of the nailing machine, the connecting tape 4 and the metal wire 5 are broken between the second nail N and the leading nail N
Is released from the connected state and is driven into the driven material by the driver.
