Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 活性シリカを珪酸アルカリ金属Mの水溶液から、少なくとも2、好ましく は2.5〜4のSiO2/Na2O比で、酸性化剤を使用してpHを調節して、シ リカ以外の材料からできた支持体上に沈殿させ、形成されたシリカスラリーを分 離し、回収されたシリカ懸濁液を乾燥し、該支持体を除去することによって稠密 シリカシェルからなる中空粒子を製造するための方法であって、 a.沈殿によるシリカスラリーの形成操作を次の段階: (i)次の物質: ・水、 ・スラリー形成操作のpH及び温度条件では水に不溶性であるが、後続の 除去操作中にシリカシェルを溶解又は破壊させることなく少なくとも部分的に除 去することができる、シリカ以外の少なくとも1種の有機又は無機支持体、 ・アルカリ金属の群から選択される電解質塩(存在する電解質の量は初期 容器底部装入物1リットル当たり少なくともほぼ0.4モル、好ましくは0.4 〜1.5モル程度のアルカリ金属イオンである)、及び ・随意の緩衝液又は塩基性試薬 を含む、8〜10程度のpHの初期容器底部装入物を80〜98℃程度の温度で 使用することからなる第一段階、 (ii)該初期容器底部装入物に ・少なくともほぼ100g/lのSiO2、好ましくは100〜330g /l程度のSiO2を含む水溶液状の珪酸アルカリ金属、及び ・酸性化剤 を、活性シリカの形成速度K(支持体1gにつき1時間当たりのシリカのg数で 表して)が次の値: K≧3(A/200)2n 好ましくはK≧4(A/200)2n 特に好ましくはK≧6(A/200)2n (ここで、nは(T−90)/10に等しく、 Aは被覆すべき支持体の比表面積(m2/gで表して)を表し、 Tは温度℃を表す) に相当するような条件下で、導入し、しかも反応混合物が8〜10程度の実質的 に一定のpHを示し、所望量のシリカが形成されるまで80〜98℃程度の温度 に保持するようにすることからなる第二段階 に従って実施すること、 b.得られた活性シリカシェルと該支持体よりなるコアとからなる粒子を、該 活性シリカシェルを溶解又は破壊させることなく、支持体構成材料の除去操作に 付すること を特徴とする、稠密シリカシェルからなる中空粒子の製造方法。 2. 珪酸アルカリ金属が珪酸ナトリウム又はカリウムであることを特徴とする 請求項1に記載の方法。 3. 酸性化剤が無機又は有機酸であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載 の方法。 4. 酸性化剤が硫酸、硝酸、塩酸、酢酸、ぎ酸又は炭酸であることを特徴とす る請求項3に記載の方法。 5. 酸性化剤が60〜400g/l程度の濃度を示す水溶液としての硫酸であ ることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。 6. 支持体構成材料が次の処理の一つ:固体又は液体材料についての熱処理; 固体材料についての8以下、好ましくは2〜7程度のpHの無機若しくは有機酸 を使用し又は非極性溶媒を使用する溶解による処理;或いは液体材料についての 分離のうちの一つによって除去することができる材料から選択されることを特徴 とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。 7. 酸を使用して溶解させることにより除去することができる固体材料が8以 下、好ましくは2〜7程度のpHで可溶性である無機塩類、金属、有機重合体又 は架橋多糖類から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の方法。 8. 該材料が炭酸カルシウムであることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法 。 9. 非極性溶媒を使用して溶解させることにより除去することができる固体材 料がアルカリに可溶性でない有機重合体から選択されることを特徴とする、請求 項6に記載の方法。 10. 分離により除去することができる液体材料が植物油、鉱油、液状ペトロ ラタム又はシリコーン油から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の方 法。 11. 分離操作が遠心分離、ろ過、蒸留、蒸発、透析又は浸透操作であること を特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。 12. シリカ以外の材料が20nm〜30μm程度、好ましくは50nm〜2 0μm程度の寸法を示すことを特徴とする、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の 方法。 13. 電解質が硫酸ナトリウム、塩化ナトリウム、硝酸ナトリウム又は炭酸水 素ナトリウムであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の方法 。 14. 支持体が、固体材料であるときは、水性分散体として使用され、又は液 体材料であるときは、水性エマルジョンとして使用されることを特徴とする、請 求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。 15. 使用できる支持体の量が、形成される容器底部装入物がその重量の少な くとも10%程度の固体支持体を又はその容積の少なくとも10%程度の液体支 持体を含有するような量であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜14のいずれかに 記載の方法。 16. 容器底部装入物がその重量の50%までの固体支持体を又はその容積の 50%までの液体支持体を含有することを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の方法 。 17. スラリー形成の第二段階が、支持体100重量部当たり少なくとも1〜 150重量部のSiO2が形成されるまで、珪酸アルカリ金属と酸性化剤を同時 に導入することによって実施されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜16のいずれ かに記載の方法。 18. 請求項1〜17のいずれかに記載の方法により得られた中空シリカ粒子 の、断熱材又は遮音材或いはそれらの構成要素として、重合体、建築材料、ゴム 、紙又は塗料のための中空充填剤として、吸収剤として、歯磨き用添加剤又は研 磨剤として、活性物質の吸収又は制御された放出のための支持体として(この場 合には、活性物質の放出は機械的な破壊により、又はシリカゲルの塩基性媒体へ の溶解により又は拡散によりシリカシェルを破壊させることによって達成される )、日光保護材又は日光保護材の支持体として、或いは液状物質を固体状で処方 するための用途。 19. 15〜800m2/g程度のBET比表面積、シリカ100g当たり5 00ml以上のDOP吸油量、及び2〜10nm以下程度のシェル厚を示すこと を特徴とする、稠密シリカの中空粒子。 20. ほぼ1μm以上、好ましくはほぼ10μm以上、さらにはほぼ15μm 以上の粒度を示すことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の稠密シリカの中空粒子 。
