は換気用の開口などを形成するには、まず図6に示すよ
うに、パネル4に形成しようとする開口5の四隅に対応
した位置にコーナー孔4aを穿設し、次いで、この各コ
ーナー孔4aを結ぶように、図中破線で示した箇所をジ
グソーでカットしていた。このことで、パネル4には図
7に示したように所望の大きさの開口5が形成される
が、このようにしてパネル4に開口5を形成すると、パ

ので、ここに直接、窓枠などを取り付けることはできな
かった。そこで、この開口5を補強する必要が生じた。
本発明は、このようにパネル4に形成された開口5を補
強する際に利用されるものである。図1は、本発明に係
るパネル開口の補強構造を示した斜視図である。図示し
たように本発明の補強構造では、コーナー部材1とこの
コーナー部材1にねじ止めされる辺部材2の二つの部材
を使用する。コーナー部材1は、図2の拡大図に示すよ
うに直方体をL字形に連結させた形状の本体1aと、こ
の本体1aの一側に突設された側面視、略方形の板状の
係止片1bとからなり、合成樹脂あるいは金属で形成さ
れている。係止片1bは、本体1aの角部側面1dと所
定の間隙(パネル4の厚さとほぼ等しい)を有するよう
に、本体1aの内側角部1eから突設されている。ま
た、本体1aの直角に隣接した面には、それぞれねじ螺
合用のねじ孔1cがこの本体1aを貫通する方向に設け

に、コーナー部材1を本体1aと係止片1bとの間でパ
ネル4が挟まれるように、コーナー部材1を差し込む。
このことでコーナー部材1は、開口5の隅角部5aに形
成されたコーナー孔4aを塞ぐようにしてこの開口5の
隅角部5aに係止される。このようにして開口5の四隅
の隅角部5aにそれぞれコーナー部材1を取り付ける。
なお、このコーナー部材1の取り付けの際に、予め開口
5の内端縁に防水処理用のシリコンを塗布しておけば、
コーナー部材1とパネル4との嵌め合いが緩い場合であ
ってもこのコーナー部材1を、後述する固定作業が完了
するまでパネル4の所定位置に仮保持しておくことがで
き、都合が良い。次に、隣り合ったコーナー部材1,1
の間に架け渡されるように、このコーナー部材1,1間
の長さ、即ち開口5の一辺に対応した長さの辺部材2を
開口5の内側から差し込む。そして、辺部材2の挿通孔
2cを通してねじ3をコーナー部材本体1aのねじ孔1
cに螺合させることにより、辺部材2の両端をコーナー
部材1に一体的に連結固定する。このようにして、開口
5の内周の四つの辺に沿ってそれぞれ対応した長さの辺
部材2を取り付ける。このことで、コーナー部材1と辺
部材2は、互いに連結され、図4に示すように開口5の
内周縁に枠状に取り付けられる。この時、各コーナー部
材1は互いに辺部材2を介して連結され、開口5の内方
への移動が阻止されるので、係止片1bと本体1aとの
間で挟み込んだパネル4との係合が外れる虞れはない。
以上のようにして本発明のパネル開口の補強構造では、
パネル4に開設された開口5の隅角部5aにコーナー部
材1を差し込み、このコーナー部材1に辺部材2をねじ
3で連結固定することにより、この開口5の内周縁が補
強されるものである。そして、このようにして補強され
た開口5には、例えば図5に示すような窓枠8などが取
り付けられ、その固定保持が確実になされるようになっ
ている。なお、ユニットバスなどにおいて開口5の周囲
からの水漏れを塞ぐ必要がある場合には、図3に示すよ
うに辺部材2とパネル4との間を適宜シリコン7などで
塞げば良い。また、パネル開口5の切断端縁が錆びる虞
れがある場合には、上記の作業に先立って予めこの開口
5の切断端縁に防錆材を塗布しておけば良い。なお、図
4において符号6は、辺部材2の適宜箇所に取り付けら
れその強度を向上させるための補強用のスペーサーを示
す。上記では、ねじ3で辺部材2をコーナー部材1に連
結した例を示したが、辺部材2はコーナー部材1に位置
ずれ不可に一体的に連結固定されれば良く、接着、嵌合
など他の手段で連結されるようにしても良い。また、図
示した実施の形態では、開口5を形成し易いように二分
割され、また平面性や断熱性を向上させるために、裏面
に裏打材4bが添設されたパネル4を例示したが、開口
5が補強されるパネル4の形状や構造はどのようなもの
であっても良く、図示したものに限らないことはいうま
