Abstract

Scala pieghevole comprendente due coppie di portanti (1, 1'; 2, 2') incernierati superiormente ed una pluralità di pioli (4) collegati a detti portanti, ciascun piolo essendo formato in due porzioni reciprocamente articolate tra di loro ed essendo collegato agli altri pioli, in corrispondenza di detto punto di reciproca articolazione, da un'asta (7, 7') parallela ai portanti, caratterizzata dal fatto che i pioli (4) hanno larghezza decrescente dalla base verso l'altezza, sono articolati alle loro estremità a detti portanti per passare dalla configurazione di impiego della scala in cui essi sono ortogonali ai portanti, alla configurazione di ripiegamento della scala in cui essi sono sostanzialmente paralleli ai portanti e dal fatto che a ciascun portante (1, 1') di una coppia è applicato un corrimano (18) collegato superiormente all'altro corrimano tramite un nastro flessibile (20), detti corrimano essendo mobili assialmente fra una posizione in cui le estremità superiori dei corrimano coincidono sostanzialmente con l'asse di articolazione dei portanti ad una posizione stabile in cui le estremità superiori si prolungano oltre l'estremità superiore dei portanti stessi.Folding ladder comprising two pairs of carriers (1, 1 '; 2, 2') hinged above and a plurality of rungs (4) connected to said carriers, each rung being formed in two portions mutually articulated to each other and being connected to the others rungs, at said point of mutual articulation, by a rod (7, 7 ') parallel to the carriers, characterized in that the rungs (4) have decreasing width from the base towards the height, are articulated at their ends to said carriers to pass from the configuration of use of the ladder in which they are orthogonal to the carriers, to the folding configuration of the ladder in which they are substantially parallel to the carriers and from the fact that to each carrier (1, 1 ') of a pair is applied a handrail (18) connected above the other handrail by means of a flexible belt (20), said handrails being axially movable between a position in which the upper ends of the handrails ano substantially coincide with the axis of articulation of the carriers to a stable position in which the upper ends extend beyond the upper end of the carriers themselves.
