Abstract

The circuit uses a three-phase and neutral line to power star-connected lighting fixtures. In one of the three phases an uninterruptible power supply has been inserted to supply about 1/3 of the installed lamps. In the presence of the mains voltage, all the lamps are on, when there is no voltage, only the lamps derived from the UPS phase remain on. The circuit was designed to create emergency lighting in rooms that do not have it without excessive modifications to the system and the installation of other lighting bodies. The circuit can also be conveniently used in new installations, obtaining high illumination values with relatively reduced costs.
