Abstract

Mattresses (1) and padded areas of sofas or chairs are made nowadays often of two layers (2, 3) of foam rubber with different qualities. An elastic core (2) or lower layer is covered by a soft material with a memory (3), both joined with a glue which can get crumbly or rigid with time. The new design of the device (1) is assembled of two parts (2, 3) provided with complementary structured surfaces (4), engaging with each other. The structures (4) can be arranged in a multitude of patterns.
