Abstract

Un tappo di sicurezza (10), specie applicabile a serbatoi di apparecchi per la produzione di vapore, è provvisto di una bussola (18), con scanalature longitudinali (24) allineato alle quali è ottenuto, lungo il corpo interno (12) un foro passante (26) che accoglie una sfera (28). All'interno di detto corpo è disposto un pistone mobile (16) con scanalatura periferica (36). Le sfere (28) trascinano la bussola (18) in assenza di pressione all'interno del tappo (10); viceversa, in presenza di pressione, il pistone (16) avanza e le sfere (28) scendono nella scanalatura (26). Mancando il trascinamento, il tappo (10) non può essere svitato. Una valvola di sicurezza, formata da un anello (44) e da una guarnizione (46), interviene automaticamente in presenza di pressione eccessiva, scaricando il flusso da un foro d'estremità (22). Il pistone (16) e la citata valvola sono mantenuti in tensione da molle (34) e adeguatamente tarate.
