Abstract

The vacuum container for waste is a device designed to store, in a depressurized environment, solid urban waste (MSW) of various kinds (organic and non-organic) collected therein. Its essential characteristics are: the versatility of use for which it is possible in case of emergency storing excess waste on site or in special outdoor areas, the ability to reduce the original volume of waste by a significant percentage, and above all controllability (by means of water and / or additives) and collection (by means of pipes prepared with rapid attacks) of the biogas and the leachate that develop there under the microbial action. This last feature is fundamental because it can be interconnected with each other through the aforementioned pipes, various containers making the storage and collection system modular, for applications landfill; with this device one does not fail in the fundamental biological principles that underlie the activity of the landfills themselves.
