Description
DESCRIZIONE annessa alla domanda di brevetto per invenzione industriale avente per titolo COPERCHIO PER CONTENITORI DI RIFIUTI depositata all'UPICA di DESCRIPTION attached to the patent application for industrial invention entitled LID FOR WASTE CONTAINERS filed with UPICA of
CAMPO DELLA TECNICA FIELD OF TECHNIQUE
CLASSE DI RIFERIMENTO B 65 D. The present invention relates to the construction technique of waste containers and in particular to their lids. REFERENCE CLASS B 65 D.
STATO DELLA TECNICA STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE
Different types of waste containers are known. In the prior patent literature there are documents USA 2 411 430 and USA 5 158 199 both equipped with lids internally coated with adsorbent materials. The problem to be solved is that of making a lid that allows the odor fumes of the waste to escape through a panel of adsorbent materials.
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The invention is now described with reference to the figures of the attached drawings by way of non-limiting example.
Figure 1 is an external side view of the sealed lid on a waste container.
Figure 2 represents a cross section of the lid sealed on the container.
La figura 3 illustra in sezione il coperchio in posizione di apertura Figure 3 is a sectional view of the lid in the open position
Figure 4 schematizes in section the leakage of the odorous fumes of the waste which flow outwards through the adsorbent materials of the filter panel.
Figure 5 shows the filter pad of adsorbent materials.
In tutte le figure ogni singolo particolare é contrassegnato come segue: In all the figures, every single detail is marked as follows:
1 indica la parte superiore del coperchio 1 indicates the top of the lid
2 indicates the filter panel inserted in the inside of the cover.
3 are arrows that indicate the release of odor fumes through the filter panel.
4 indica il contenitore di rifiuti. 4 indicates the waste container.
5 indicates ventilation openings made on the lid to allow the odor fumes emanating from the waste to escape.
The evidence of the figures immediately clarifies the functionality of the ventilation openings (5) schematized in detail in figure 4. The ventilation openings (5) ensure constant natural ventilation of the inside of the container: in fact all the gases produced, immediately after the their production, flow out in a thin fluid layer in contact with the filter, being completely adsorbed, and exit immediately outside almost completely purified of their odorous fraction. In this way, the concentration of odorous gases in the free internal volume of the container is extremely low, both in the transitional phase immediately after a partial delivery of waste, and in the stationary phase during the possible long periods between one delivery and the next. When opening the lid to carry out waste deliveries, the immediate discharge to the outside of the air contained in the internal free volume brings with it a minimum quantity of odorous gases, at a concentration so low that it does not create any discomfort for the operator. due to unpleasant odors. The filter (2) is made up of a panel of special adsorbent material capable of adsorbing any odorous exhalation of gases coming from the putrefaction of biomass. The application of this filter (2) inside the ventilated lid eliminates the odorous gases accumulated during the closing periods of the container so that during the periodic openings for the delivery of waste no unpleasant odors are released, especially during the summer seasons in whose environmental discomfort is aggravated by the presence of different insects, parasites and animals; in the warm seasons the rate of putrefaction of the organic waste present in the container is also accentuated. It is evident that the practical implementation of the invention may undergo numerous variations in proportioning and structural sizing. It is also evident that the invention is susceptible to different technological choices also as regards the construction materials. All those lids for waste containers which reproduce the original characteristics of the present invention as described, illustrated and claimed hereinafter will therefore fall within the scope of the present invention.
