Abstract
1361600 Sewing and tufting machines L M BALLAMY 5 Nov 1971 [11 Nov 1970] 53558/ 70 Heading DIG The needle bar of the machine shown is provided with a passage (17, Fig. 3 not shown) for yarn from the thread tensioner. The needle is provided with a slot (37 Fig. 4 not shown) in its shank to allow the yarn to pass to the needle eye. The disc tensioner 27 is mounted on the underside of a lid 26 pivoted at 24 to the top of the machine arm 3 and held open by a strut 25. A thread spool 21 is carried on a holder 22 secured to the exterior of the arm 3.
