“Metodo di coltivazione di piante di bambù” "Method of growing bamboo plants"
TESTO DELLA DESCRIZIONE TEXT OF THE DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a method for growing bamboo plants.
The growing spread of the cultivation of bamboo plants even in geographic areas far from those in which this plant grows and thrives spontaneously, has imposed the application of procedures that aim to make this activity as profitable as possible from a commercial point of view.
To date, the most commonly used methods for cultivation provide that, rather than the seed, the seedlings already formed are planted in the adequately prepared soil. These seedlings are grown in rather large pots, with a plant size of no less than about 15 centimeters and a height of about 20 centimeters. In this environment, the growth of the seedlings prior to planting takes a rather long time, estimated at around twenty-four months, depending on the species of bamboo cultivated.
Moreover, even when they are planted in the plantation, the seedlings from these pots are slow to colonize the surrounding land.
Furthermore, the size of the pots dictate the availability of very large spaces regardless of the number of seedlings to be grown and make the eventual shipment to the plantation where the seedlings will be planted more expensive.
The object of the present invention is to obviate the aforementioned drawbacks.
It is achieved thanks to the use of small-sized pots in the plant to be used in the growth phase of the bamboo seedlings prior to planting in the plantation. The main advantage of the present invention consists in the fact that in this way it is possible to enormously accelerate the growth of the seedlings, which are ready for planting in a much shorter time: between four and sixteen months, starting from the seed, or between two and four months, or at most about eight months in particular climatic conditions, if starting from newly formed seedlings. Consequently, their proliferation is also accelerated at an exponential rate and there is a much greater ability to colonize the surrounding soil once the plants are planted.
In addition, the space required for the breeding and storage of new seedlings is reduced by at least five times and shipping costs are reduced, with the same number of seedlings to be grown.
Ulteriori vantaggi e caratteristiche del trovato saranno maggiormente evidenti nella descrizione dettagliata che segue, fatta con riferimento ai disegni allegati, che ne rappresentano un esempio non limitativo di esecuzione, in cui: Further advantages and characteristics of the invention will be more evident in the detailed description that follows, made with reference to the attached drawings, which represent a non-limiting example of execution, in which:
- la figura 1 illustra in successione le fasi di realizzazione del trovato; Figure 1 illustrates in succession the stages of realization of the invention;
Figure 2 is a perspective view of an accessory of the invention. As can be seen from Figure 1, the invention relates to a method for growing bamboo plants, which allows them to be macropropagated in a much faster time than traditional methods.
This method involves a succession of phases, including at least a first phase of potting seeds (2) of bamboo and soil (5) in narrow and long pots (1), with plant dimensions less than 10 centimeters and a length greater than 12 centimeters. ; a second phase of permanence in the pots (1) between two and eight months, during which roots (3) and shoots (4) grow; a third phase consisting in the extraction of roots (3) and shoots (4) together with the soil (5) and division of this whole, defined as "bread of earth", into several parts (2a, 2b, 2c ...), preferably in number between 3 and 5; a fourth phase of re-potting of the individual parts (2a, 2b, 2c ...) in new narrow and long pots (1a, 1b, 1c ...), similar to the previous ones, and therefore with plan dimensions of less than 10 centimeters and a length greater than 12 centimeters; a fifth phase of permanence in the vessels (1a, 1b, 1c…) between two and eight months, in order to accelerate the growth of the individual parts (2a, 2b, 2c…).
At the end of the aforementioned phases, depending on the bamboo species and the time of year in which the method is put into practice, one or more further phases of extraction of the individual parts (2a, 2b, 2c ...) from the pots may be necessary (1a, 1b, 1c ...) and division of each single part (2a, 2b, 2c ...) into several parts (2a ', 2a' ', 2a' '', ...; 2b ', 2b' ', 2b' '', ...; 2c ', 2c' ', 2c' '', ...) for further re-potting in new pots (1a ', 1a' ', 1a' '', ...; 1b ', 1b' ', 1b' '', ...; 1c ', 1c' ', 1c' '', ...) as narrow and long as the previous ones, i.e. with plan dimensions of less than 10 centimeters and a length greater than 12 centimeters: in any case, whether recourse to this last phase or not, a final phase is foreseen consisting in the planting of the parts (2a, 2b, 2c ...; 2a ', 2a' ', 2a' '', ..., 2b ', 2b' ', 2b '' ',…, 2c', 2c '', 2c '' ',…) in a plantation.
It is evident that, if on the one hand the narrow and long pots (1) accelerate the growth times of the seedlings, on the other hand the decomposition of the "loaves of earth" into different parts every 2/8 months allows an exponential increase of the seedlings already formed that can be planted with respect to traditional methods in the same period of time.
The dimensions preferably recommended for the vases (1; 1a, 1b, 1c ...; 1a ', 1a' ', 1a' '', ...; 1b ', 1b' ', 1b' '', ...; 1c ', 1c' ', 1c' '',…) have plan dimensions between 7 and 8 centimeters and a length between 15 and 20 centimeters. Although they have a square section in the drawings, they could also have a circular or rectangular section. Regardless of the shape, it is still convenient for them to have a protuberance (11) on the internal surface that prevents the roots (3) from spiraling, but forces them to develop longitudinally.
