Abstract

The present invention concerns a vehicle to transport baggage in airport areas and comprising a starting unit linked to a box structure, inside which a series of baggage transport belts extend. One of said belts extends outside said box through a front opening, said transport device being hinged to said box and oscillating between a position near to the front side of said box and an operational position in which it can extend on the vehicle internal line of transport belts until it reaches either the airplane baggage compartment or a clearing station to take or to load baggage. Said vehicle comprises a truck and a base framework. In order to reach port height of airplane baggage compartment, said truck must be able to be elevated on the base framework, thus avoiding the use of an external transport device, thus complicating the movements of the whole system.
