Abstract

The process concerned can be applied to the manufacture of shoes, especially but not exclusively to trainers, walking boots or similar footwear. The procedure consists of injecting an innersole directly into the mould, between the sole and the upper, preferably in polyurethane or equivalent material, leaving liberal parts of tread protruding from the upper. The said protrusions are then stuck to the upper, reinforcing it. This indirect injection process can be carried out advantageously either between the upper and the sole tread or between the upper and a first innersole already joined to the sole.<IMAGE>
