Abstract

Single-use, self-heating container for liqs and/or solids has an outer insulating envelope inside which there is an integrally fastened plastic vessel having upper and lower compartments sepd by a membrane. The solid and/or liq substances are contained in a metallic container fastened to the upper part of the plastic vessel by keying or shrinking-on with thermal welding and closed by a peelable, thermally welded diaphragm, a cover also being provided to seal and protect the upper part of the self-heating container. A breaking member arranged in the lower compartment of the plastic vessel is able to break the membrane when acted upon by external means enabling a liq reactant contained in one compartment and a solid reactant contained in the other to intermix.
