Abstract

A method of producing decorated fabrics uses contrasting layers of carding machine webs which are patterned by suction of selected fibres through a template bearing a pattern or design. The layers patterned in this way are mounted on to a support by a know process. The method provides a varied patterning effect, not previously used, for the decoration of fabric supports by known means, such as quilting, sewing, knitting or needling, etc.
