Abstract

L'invenzione si riferisce ad un dispositivo per la colata continua orizzontale di metalli, costituito da un forno di attesa con un canale di colata orizzontalmente estendentesi, disposto in una parete laterale del forno di attesa, con una conchiglia in grafite, associata al canale di colata, e con un raffreddatore circondante la conchiglia ed è flangiato su un involucro del forno di attesa. Per realizzare un flusso metallico uniforme nella zona di entrata della conchiglia, viene proposto che entro il canale di colata (2) del forno di attesa (1) è disposto un diaframma (3), il diaframma (3) è costituito da un materiale refrattario e il diaframma (3) lascia un'apertura di passaggio (4) del materiale fuso nel canale di colata (2) e la dimensione del diaframma (3) è dimensionata in modo che la superficie di sezione trasversale dell'apertura di passaggio (4) del materiale fuso sia minore rispetto alla superficie di sezione trasversale della conchiglia (10).
