Abstract

A questo scopo, da un diagramma caratteristico viene letto sia un tempo di funzionamento massimo sia una temperatura massima del refrigerante in funzione della temperatura di avviamento. Se il tempo di funzionamento dell'impianto a fiamma supera il tempo massimo di funzionamento prestabilito oppure la temperatura attuale del refrigerante supera la temperatura massima prestabilita del refrigerante, l'impianto a fiamma viene disattivato.The invention relates to a process for heating the intake air in internal combustion engines by means of a flame system. To improve the operating conditions of the flame system, it is proposed to set the operating time of the flame system according to the starting temperature of the internal combustion engine. For this purpose, a maximum operating time and a maximum temperature of the refrigerant are read from a characteristic diagram as a function of the starting temperature.
